Girl duped by man who was actually a woman..
Discussion
Just saw the news story for this today, really bizzare. How the accuser could be so duped after a spending over 100 hours together is a complete mystery to me, it's not like the woman in question even looks that masculine.
And 8 years! That seems very tough to me, you can get less for manslaughter!

8 years fk sake!
Personally i think it's been a fking waste of public money from the start and will continue to be so for many years.
I am firmly of the belief that the other girl knew fine well she was not riding a dick and knew it was a dildo, how you cant tell the difference i don't know.

Wow. This story is just bizarre beyond belief. I find it hard to believe she could have sex with 'him' many many times without realizing 'he' was a she with a rubber cock.
But clearly if true, and we have to assume it is since she has been found guilty, 8 years seems reasonable. I don't know exactly what the law states but I think most people would consider being tricked into having sex as rape and being deceived like this hugely psychologically damaging.
I mean I guess the equivalent might be finding out your girlfriend is a post-op FTM trans woman.

Apparently the actions of the woman jailed have caused great psychological damage to her victim, damage which is expected to take years to recover from , if they ever do recover.
Taking that into account, its perhaps understandable as to why the judge handed down such a sentance, violence can psychological as well as physical.

For what it's worth I think anyone would agree with that, I'm simply struggling with the physics of how you could think it was a dude.Taking that into account, its perhaps understandable as to why the judge handed down such a sentance, violence can psychological as well as physical.
Easy to say when you've never experienced the real thing or a "prosthetic" one I guess - that sounds so wrong but YKWIM.

Did the victim just lie on her hands or something whilst the strapon was in play? I dont understand how she didnt work it out.
Getting duped once followed by 'open your eyes for a big surprise' I get but multiple times and not working it out is just bizarre.
This is what don't get - the sheer mechanics of a woman pretending to be a man when naked with a woman I just can't fathom. Sure, the visual bits could be hidden by a blindfold, but what about the lack of body hair, long head hair, feminine voice, soft skin, etc., etc.Getting duped once followed by 'open your eyes for a big surprise' I get but multiple times and not working it out is just bizarre.
Occasionally there are quite extreme circumstances such as this. IIRC there was a fair bit of social media and CCTV to corroborate the allegations.
She won't be inside 8 years (I don't know the exact way the licence will work without looking it up). You have to remember she got no 1/3rd discount for an early plea, either.

Astonishing sentence, certainly when considered relative to many others. Can only imagine there was a lot more to the case or the emotions involved, than has been reported in the press.
Apparently she knew there was an almost certainty of a prison sentence of some sort but expected it to be suspended, as I think I did; she did take a bag full of "prison stuff" to court with her, but she's been out all this time, I can't quite get my head around being out and walking around yesterday, maybe even going to work, thinking "well I might get a few months, but chances are it'll be suspended" but then finding yourself going down for eight years? Surely most of the people that get sentences of that length, whatever it is they've done, is usually something that they've been kept on remand for and not bailed, so they're already inside and used to it to an extent, by the time the sentence gets given to them.
Suspect this will not be the last we hear of this case.
