And yet the BBC says the median for a law graduate this year was £37,000:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-34186954
So a 21 year old in law starts at £37k, whereas a judge is also so £37k - really on both figure ?

I'd agree. It says the average for chartered accountants is about £40k. My firm pays more that that to our newly qualifieds so it seems very low as an average. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-34186954
