The video content is certainly embarrassing for Carney but he's in a hi-vis role and deserves it.
Not at all. JRM was rudely interrupting him before the video ends.

Given the evidence at the link was on-topic, if in turn you find anything material to add you could make it two posts. Best of luck with that.
That was no evidence, it was your failed appeal to authority of JRM. JRM made unsubstantiated claim, was told 'No' and then started ranting.

If you want to watch the whole video, not what Express serves you, it's here.

Primary, unedited source.

Carney is cool ; he did wait for the nanny obsessed man-child's rant to end, then started answering.

JRM plays to the same express audience as Farage did, if more eloquently. I hear he wants to meet the guy who tatooed moogsomething, the same way Farage wanted to have private session with that bint that had his face tatooed. The entertainment of fragile egos.

What the hell is tatooed, lynnee? rolleyes

Oh I see, that must be the Finnish spelling. hehe

Bet you've been tattooed haven't you, lynnee?

Trying hard now to think what would a EU green energy troll supplier have tattooed on his arm?

Bit of a tt but the proles have never in the past been able to stare posh establishment types in the eye and are instantly deferential.
Lets hope this spell has been broken now.

Got to say R-M looks like a good option when you look at the alternatives.

Did anyone hear the R4 Today programe the other day whe RM was being interviewed alongside that random guy that wants to start another pro-brexit centrist party?

I don't think JRM got to speak one sentence without the other guy trying to interrupt him.

Funnily enough it was the other guy that came off (IMHO) sounding worse.

He is well mannered and give considered views.
Whether you agree or disagree with a particular view he has....
He argues his case with very well - and he backs ups his position with points that are crystal clear.
I'm not disputing that he's a thoroughly decent chap.

Just a bit odd that there seems to be some kind of circle-jerk over him and I'll wager that if his name was Wayne and he came from Dudley he wouldn't get a look in.

Such is life, but it's odd.

At the weekend Matthew Parris, the writer and gay former Conservative MP, used his Times newspaper column to declare: “For the 21st-century Conservative Party, Jacob Rees-Mogg would be pure hemlock.

“His manners are perfumed but his opinions are poison. Rees-Mogg is quite simply an unfailing, unbending, unrelenting reactionary.

“His record on every moral, social, sexual or reproductive issue I’ve looked at is brute moral conservative. He has been a straight-down-the-line supporter of every welfare cut I’ve checked.
I'm not sure if what Matthew Parris describes is quite accurate, but if it's in the ballpark then Rees-Mogg represents a set of views held by a great many people who haven't had anyone to vote for for a long long time.

Yes, them gays, should keep things to themselves.

While undoubtedly very intelligent, JRM is emotionally stunted man child with a weird crush on his own nanny. Not surprised by his apparent popularity on NP&E at all.

Only someone with a very warped and rather sick mind would think that and then go on to write it on a forum predominantly for car enthusiasts.

It comes as no surprise it came from you.

yes none at all.

You have to suspect that jjlynn27 posted that as a non-fan of JRM (though a confession of fan status could change that outlook).

That's evidence of prior knowledge at a personal level that posting in NP&E doesn't mean you're a fan of JRM.

So the initial jj post content on this off-topic trolltrip = waste of pixels.

JRM is entertaining for sure.

But he is a parody of a parody.

Polite, bright, but too far to the right, and a bit of a looney.

You should know by now that jj isn't like everyone else on NP&E. He's more erudite, good looking and debonair for starters.

Though it is ironic that he dislikes the "toffs" condescending the "knuckle draggers" when the only reason he must come on here is to condescend groups of people who are different to him smile

Is there a point where all careers/spheres will need your sexuality identified when making comments? Or is being gay in this context actually part of the career/vocation?

Educated and interesting, what a waste to be in politics.
Good time to add that if he stands and succeeds to become P.M. that would bring some much needed values into current politics.

It may be relevant as JRM is against gay marriage, which, as a married gay man, Matthew Paris might find hard to swallow.
