We're not a southern country, we're doing ok.

People who make pronouncements like this seldom follow it through. It's highly unlikely you will. Google Paul O Grady.
He was offset by Paul Daniels staying when Labour won. O'Grady is safe now as Daniels isn't going anywhere.

I'd like to divert from the repetitive discussion if I may. I've done some serious thinking over the last week and decided that if we will remain in the EU I am going to leave the UK and find opportunity elsewhere.

Not necessarily ONLY because of remaining, but life here in London is draining me recently, and it feels one hundred times worse with this constant alienation as someone who doesn't want to be part of the EU. So IF we do remain, I will take it as the kick up the back side I need to enjoy life a bit more.

Has anybody else had this feeling?
Oh yeah and go where?

Risible, there's no easy way out of the mess we're in, and whilst we're in Europe the UK is ungovernable (as DC's ex-best mate just said) and unable to make the necessary changes.

May be the people of retirement age have experience of what the EU was sold to us as, along with what it has ended up becoming, let's stop them voting because they have experience, let's give the vote to naive youngsters who will not know better, what a good idea rolleyes.
The elderly made a choice back in the 70's. They now don't have any useful hand in the game.Don't worry your pensions etc are all safe and thanks to EU immigration someone will be around on a very low wage to wipe your arse and feed you when you no longer can.

So yes youngsters maybe naive but unlike the elderly they will have to live with the consequences.

What mess? The economy is growing, employment is up, the Labour Party is pretty much unelectable, all's good as far as I'm concerned. Business wise, I'm also having my best year ever, I don't see any reason for doom and gloom.

No need for doom and gloom just good news then, I hope your enterprise finishes the financial year with best ever turnover and profit.

And of the ones I've spoken to they regret their choices, citing what has happened isn't what they were sold.

Indeed we'd better not trust our own PM and Chancellor spinning again about the EEC/EU.

The EU debate is NOT about immigration.
Glad that's clear.

http://news.sky.com/story/1700509/uk-becoming-more...

The fact that multiculturalism didn't work, that Blair failed to 'teach us a lesson,' is ALL YOUR FAULT.

You cannot blame the immigrants who are here and failed to:
Speak English
Obey the law (British not Sharia that is)
Respect their host country
Integrate

No, they are victims of racial/ethnic/something else discrimination.
They have rights but not responsibilities.
You, you, you white tax-paying bigot, you had better 'embrace' diversity.
Or else.

Remember, these people brought us, er:
Mosques
FGM
Terrorists
Burkas

What did you do for diversity? You bigot. From wherever.

Let's vote Remain and welcome the world to the NHS, social housing, contra flow and potholes.
C' mon in. Everybody else has!

I'm not doubting your resolve, the custard comment was tongue-in-cheek and for limpsfield not you!

As it happens I expect to see the custard smile
Ah yes sorry the 'custard indeed' was aimed at limpsfield as well!

I hope I don't have to get the custard out, for the sake of the country. biggrin

Don't be so f. denigrating. Don't have a useful hand in the game! One day you'll be old, if you're lucky. tongue out
And remember, if it weren't for some 'elderly' you might have ended up f goose-stepping!
At anyway, looking round me, I think I might be living longer than plenty I see half my age. In fact, I'm a f. sight more agile than some half my age... not surprising, they're so bloody obese! Brain-washed again by so-called 'healthy eating'. So just pop off and get your 4 pints of skimmed milk! yuck

The youngest people who voted in the last referendum are still in their 50s, hardly fking elderly
