She said "I think trump was right to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel"

What did you hear her say?

She did say one of the big benefits of brexit is new trade deals? If she can't predict the future how the hell does she know that's a fact? Duplicitous nonsense - why is this not utterly transparent?
EU membership forbids us from making new trade deals, so it's an obvious fact that we stand a better chance outside it.

Can you name any one economist or politician who is good a predicting the future please, also can you list the qualifications you have to judge her/them.
The point is she is saying it as a brexiteer and she wants to deflect from the widely held views on economists of the impact of brexit.

She can't afford to admit its a big negative.

She did say one of the big benefits of brexit is new trade deals? If she can't predict the future how the hell does she know that's a fact? Duplicitous nonsense - why is this not utterly transparent?
I could have predicted you would not answer a question to YOU smile

On the new trade deals/benefits of Brexit, she said there are "opportunities of new trade deals" but don't let the facts get in your way.

Now let us try again, please name ONE economist/politician who can predict the future.

It's quite amusing that Brexiters are told we are all elderly uneducated little Englander halfwits who hate foreigners and know nothing of economics. Yet on the panel the 20 something immigrant economist with a brain the size of a planet supported Brexit.

Ah, but that would include making a prediction. How do you know what you gain is better than what we will definitely lose from leaving the SM/CU?

You must have done an "impact assessment" to come to that conclusion - otherwise you are just guessing/dreaming.

If you have done an impact assessment, that is just a economic forecast not worth toffee according to economist Kate. She is playing to the hard of thinking, like many brexiteers. A well worn path now, I'm surprised it works, but it does. Even Peston is giving it a go from the other side. Lapped up it is. smile

So you don't know what she said, but you know I misheard it. Brilliant.

I can see now why the nonsense that Farage spouts lands so easily when up against your critical thinking capacity.

Evidence if any was needed about your ability to analyse facts and your confirmation bias.

Nope. Why the fck are YOU asking a question instead of talking about why the lady is simultaneously

- saying predictions are crap
- confidently predicting that trading outside EU will be better than inside

If you can't see the contradiction when laid out so clearly, then the mind boggles.

Not a prediction at all. The CU prevents us making trade deals, but without it we are allowed to, that's a fact.

No. It's a statement that without a law banning us from making trade deals, we would be allowed to make trade deals.

Do try to answer ONE question

She said that Uk specific deals are possible outside the Eu and not with us inside the Eu. That is a fact and not a prediction, a prediction is saying what deals will be made which she did not do.

Now, answer the question please: name ONE economist or politician that can predict the future

My impression was she was rather ambivalent, but was saying that it can (only) be a success if you get on and make it so, having made the decision.

she said it was the “maior advantage” of brexit

how does she know its an advantage unless she has predicted the pros and cons?

with no prediction of benefit it is just a change with an undefined benefit or penalty

still, academic now that May has completely capitulated. Norway here we come - or rather we’ve been backed into Norway against our will as it is what the EU want. Funny business this taking back control - we seem to have none at all!

told you it would be a crap norway outcome.

Your misquoting is embarrassing.

I don't normally get involved with trolls but you need to be called out on this. If you want an honest debate about Brexit then at least be honest yourself.

she said “it is one if the biggest pros of brexit” is doing nee trade deals.

some paraphrasing but the meaning is absolutely clear - she is saying that is a pro - i.e. it will benefit us. How can she state that is a benefit without making assunptions / predictions about the future.

fking hell.

no wonder farage hoodwinked so many.

Can’t happen. There is no mechanism for the EU to kickbout a member state. Creating such a rule would need a treaty change and they require the consent of all member states.

That said, it does give an indication of the preferred direction of travel of those promoting a centralised EU independent of the memeber states.
