Yes I've seen some of the leftist rubbish some people on here are coming out with, they'd be laughed off Comment Is Free too. I cannot believe some of the comments I am seeing.
As for the comments on this particular thread, I can't see that there's anything particularly shocking that there isn't a lot of sympathy for parasitic criminal people smugglers who've come unstuck after killing and maiming innocent bystanders. fk 'em.
There, not exactly 'machine gun immigrants in the Channel' is it?

Is it not the natural scheme of things? A rise in liberal ideas are followed by a rise in the right, not saying it's right but is it not just a normal cycle, It's something that's concerned me for a few years now, we see what is happening in the likes of Germany and Sweden, will they be a massive swing to more right wing views, a dangerous situation given Germany's history, is not the change in comments a signal of things are changing?I cannot believe some of the comments I am seeing.

So anyone who despises and won't shed tears for vermin who prey on the desperate and vulnerable, leaving some dead rather than just disappointed, is extremely right wing? What an idiot statement, posted by an idiot idiotic enough to pounce on the wrong thread to flaunt his publicly-on-my-sleeve 'right thinking', reasonable, civilised, liberal, look at me I'm so nice bleeding heart persona. Prat. The extreme right wing do seem to dominate here.

I think you try too often and too earnestly to win this Ph 'sanctimonious' prize you imagine. If your response - if any - is true to form it will be the usual moral high ground, argument clinching "... you resort to personal insults..." ploy.I cannot believe some of the comments I am seeing.

On this issue most definitelyIn the late 90s immigration was virtually non-existent in terms of the top five most important issues for the public. Not surprising really as it followed two decades of low net migration.
The proponents of open borders got their way and now it frequently tops the list of concerns. In June 2015 for example 45% of respondents picked it as one of their top 5 issues.
Three quarters of the British public favour reducing current levels of immigration. Which puts into context comments that PHs has been "overrun" by the extreme right. I doubt anything more than a small minority of centre and centre right voters are in favour of current immigration levels.

I have no argument against properly controlled immigration. Skin colour/place of birth makes absolutely no difference to me. I just want the correct people with the correct skills to come in and contribute. In the late 90s immigration was virtually non-existent in terms of the top five most important issues for the public. Not surprising really as it followed two decades of low net migration.

Hardly much to ask for is it. And people wonder why we get so outraged when immigrants commit horrific crimes. Those sorts of people would not be here in the first place if it wasn't for lack of border control.

You seem to be doing more than most to turn this into the BNP&E.
Is that aimed at me? If it is then it's a truly bizarre statement. I would argue I do far less posting in general than most in NPE. Strange person.
