Donated, money where mouth is and all that, and we'll see how 'policing by consent' will work out. I have a feeling someone has backed the wrong horse, and it aint' moi...

£8k in 3 hours, wow!

Good on him. £800 is a small price to pay to be done with it, good for him for sticking to his principles.

ETA: it's gone up £1200 in the 3 minutes since I originally posted biggrin

ETA2: fk it, chucked £20 in. Come on PH biggrin
I dare say that the judge, on his own or with advice, made exactly the same calculation.

A hope that the £800 would be paid and that would be the end of the matter. Precedence in thought, if not legally, established.
After all, "how many people will contribute to a legal fund to get a man off an £800 fine?", he no doubt asked himself.

Conniving bds all of them.

'We' are not the sheeple that 'they' believe us to be.

Well done Dankula for seeing the bigger picture, though it doesn't surprise me in the least.

Exactly what i thought. They dug them selfs deeper into a hole dragging this out and thought a fine will be paid and everyone would carry on and not care.

Its all good getting a fine but he will also have a criminal record for making a joke.

Yep, this was my first though also on hearing of the fine - they want to get the "win" on the books and hope he doesn't have the resolve to ask a higher court to look at a very questionable decision. This will ultimately be an embarassing smack-down for the PF office, Police Scotland and the horifically unbalanced media.

My £50 is in.

Also just donated,

The fact that essentially a convicted criminal as just raised £46k in just a few hours just shows you how wrong the criminal justice system got it on this one.

I can't believe people are donating here. I knew the crowdfunding would come and I knew he would have no trouble milking the pepe trololololols of the internet but I thought people round here would have a bit more sense.

The man's a prick.

I'm sure he likes you too.

If you can't see sense in appealing against a conviction for a joke, he isn't the only prick.

Indeed, liking him or even finding the joke funny isn't a prerequisite for agreeing with the principal in question.

I'm pleased to see as many reasonably high profile people mentioning this as being ridiculous or directly supporting him, and it's people from all walks of life, across classes and even both sides politically.

Douglas Murray, for example, isn't quite what you'd consider a 'council' idiot, nor is Jordan Peterson who shared his column for his followers also - https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/count-dankul...

I couldn't give half a fk if he likes me.

He's already managed to parlay this debacle into a decent amount of coverage and if you think this is anything but an attempt to extend that then you're a mug.

I had a vain hope that he would pay his fine and toddle off back to kekistan to make his 3edgy videos but looks like he's going to be around for a while.

It's in their interests to get involved, they make their money from the same people that he does.

You don't have to like him to see the dangerous precedent this case sets if unchallenged.

I don't think he arrested himself old boy, the fuss has been generated by the abuse of system, your ire is misdirected.
