"Jones has said he believes he was targeted because of his anti-fascist politics and warned that divisive rhetoric is emboldening some on the far right to become violent."
Surely not the same Owen Jones who called for fascists to be put to death, and those with illusions in fascism to be sent to corrective facilities?

Owen Jones🌹✔
@OwenJones84
Bless you lot.
I might look like I've walked off the set of Home Alone, but if I can survive fascists chasing after me on the streets, I can get through a hashtag set up by alt right weirdos who need their hard drives checking.
I'd love to see a comic of the bold @OwenJones84

He calls everyone a fascist.
I do like how he has 'antifascist' in his twitter bio, as if it's not the default position.
One of Orwell's books has a minor character who is described as 'the well known anti fascist. The main character is put off by the idea of someone being defined by what they are against, wonder what they would do if there weren't any fascists, and concludes that the bloke is simply trying to stir up hatred. Prescient as always.I do like how he has 'antifascist' in his twitter bio, as if it's not the default position.
Fun fact - Owen "relentless war on Antisemitism" Jones used to spend his spare time editing Wikipedia to state Jews aren't an ethnic group

Personally I think he is bang tidy.
One of my fantasies involves him working part time on the checkout at the Islngton Branch of the Co-Op
The Co-Ops the only place to shop if you a re a true socialist and Islington is the centre of all things political. Anyway after a hard day talking jack I am in there shopping with my favourite Girl - Shammi. in pops Rebecca Long Stare Bailey and Angela Crayons.
We all get chatting by the deli section. Beccy suggests I broaden my horizons by chatting to her mate Owen who just happens to be doing his part time job on the checkout that day.
The shop's quiet so I do just that sauntering overt to catch Owen at the checkout.
First thing that happens is that Owen ticks me off for buying a selection of British produced products. I tell him that it's the Co -Op that highlights the British produced angle of some of their products. He tells me that is just an excuse and I should not allow my patriotism to mask my inherent racist views. I find him cheeky but engaging.
We exchange a few political jibes and banter and then Owen suggests we meet up later
