I love lefties, one of my good mates is a Labour voting rolly-smoking leftie, part of the compassionate and morally superior left wing, dead against things like capitalism and general exploitation. Lovely night out with her and a few others last night - started at her home where she's just had an Indian sandstone patio laid - bad conditions producing that stuff. She despises The Torys and would never be with one, but got with this really top bloke a while back and it turns out down the line he votes Conservative so that's OK. She spent the whole night doing cocaine, that pinacle of pleasant exploitation free supply chains, then when we left the pub she wore a real fur coat, before going back to her house (that she's sundivided to rent the (tiny) bedroom & kitchenette for £800 a month). I'm not making this up I just find the mental contortions people go through to justify their position & lack of adherence to their own values, hilarious.
I might vote Tory but no fur coat etc. My hands are clean.

Best thing is she will have glossed over her own hypocrisy's and probably is now beyond caring. Just so long as she is ok.

I pointed this out to her and said ‘you must have been a bit conflicted in how to vote given that you have UKIP and Brexit Party standing!’
Problem is, her housemate is proper fit so you get distracted don’t you. It was like a student night out to be honest right down to not getting laid at the end.

Reminds me of someone I used to know.A self defined socialist, he read Socialist Worker and thought Kinnock was practically a fascist. He objected especially strongly to the existence of private education, this seemed to be his favourite cause, but supplemented his income by being a private A level tutor.
