Yes. Obviously all made up.

Have a look what the IOD have to say about it. Of course they're probably making it up, too.

No it's not funny at all. It's reality.

Sorry I forgot the full stops you need to add as if to make it look like you've written something thoughtful.

....

There you go.

It's not anger, it's frustration.
And even if it was anger I'm perfectly entitled to express it as I've gone from having a steady, secure, well paid job to looking like being made redundant in around 4 months time. What makes it even more stupid is that we were actively looking to recruit over the summer as workload was going up - now it's all down the stter.

Fantastic.

Still at least we've 'taken control' eh?

You seem very certain that your company is going to virtually collapse anytime soon.

It seems, if this is the case, that it was poorly run, depending on one geographic area for all of its income/profit.

If that's really the case, perhaps you should be looking in another direction for someone to blame?

Just a thought.

Collapse? No, of course not - it's a global company. Push comes to shove i could be transferred to another international office, but it's a could.

Our focus is construction and development. Of course it's going to take a hit - it already has. It's got nothing to do with how well or not it is run, short of diversifying into something completely different like childcare.we are dependant on investment being made.
Government only accounts for around 25% of the industry.

All that jazz

My God, do ever shut up whining? rolleyes Face it, your gold-plated job isn't as gold-plated as you thought it was and now you might have to get up off your arse and look for work elsewhere - something that all of us self-employed contractors have to deal with on a regular basis but you don't see us crying about it do you, we just have to crack on and deal with it.

MTFU, dry your eyes and pull yourself together ffs. The world is not going to end. Short-term pain, long-term gain.

And you think brexit is good for the public sector? It most certainly won't be.

How do you think they are funded? Public sector budgets will be cut as austerity worsens.

What do you do for a living bmw535i?

Woah hang on! Aren't you forgetting to answer some questions first? (About your revolution)

I don't see how in the long run. I've taken pay cut after pay cut year on year. My pension has changed (got worse), my terms of service have changed, I'm worked harder because of reduced numbers yet retaining similar commitments.

Funny how the rabid leavers have rose tinted spectacles, strange.

To deny impact to business and the economy is head in the sand thinking.

Those of us that run businesses have to manage the impacts, but it's not necessarily easy or possible without fallout. Fewer jobs, fewer orders to other companies etc.

Gold plated? Give over. It's a normal job, why do you assume it's gold plated? I've worked bloody hard to get where I am, and given the thread title my feelings should be self explanatory.
I'm not a self employed contractor - if i was then I'd be used to it certainly. If you'd bother to read other replies you'll see i am preprared to do something, which will be what happened in the 80's when most civil engineers went abroad. I can see the same happening.

After the 2008 crash half the workforce went, and we have only really just got back to those levels. Given that this is entirely self inflicted it's just mental.

Isn't it rather likely that the Leave voters couldn't possibly have missed the disaster predictions that the Remain camp were spouting before the referendum and yet they felt strongly enough about the issue that they still voted out.

We are a ridiculously rich country with a standard of living that 99% of the world's population would be jealous of, maybe the result of this vote wasn't about money.

I guess I'll have to assume you're not going to do anything other than rant on here then.

By the way, my job has already been mentioned on here.

Because of the way you are endlessly whining about it. You seem to be under some illusion that any jobs you take are for life and can never lead to redundancy nor change in any way. Well here's some news for you : they can and do. The referendum result sent ripples through my industry too but you don't see me ranting on internet forums like a spoilt child because people didn't vote to protect my job/industry. You need to grow the fk up. No-one cares that your company has lost 3 contracts and no amount of crying and finger pointing will change that. Deal with it.

Who wasn't alright?

As I said, unemployment was incredibly low, we were heading well out of the last recession, there were plenty of jobs for people.

I'm not too sure who was suffering so badly?
The vast majority of the public sector for a start
You could read several things into this:

- 535i in fighting the cause for the public sector is perhaps in that sector?
- 535i perhaps thinks that a brexit might improve the conditions for that sector?
- 535i voted leave with this in mind?

It would be interesting to know why he mentioned them in this discussion.

Osbourne possible slashing corp tax just to stand still on investment will wipe billions of his ability to spend in the public sector. Thats more borrowing or less nurses with immediate effect. Cause - brexit.

Turkeys and christmas?

As per title of this topic, you seem to be very angry. Unclench. You are not here to decide who posts what. If you don't like it, you can always report his post. Or skip it on a way to find another post that agrees with you.
