Danny Alexander is the other chap.

Looks like an expectant mother’s meeting.

He's a likely future leader so they'll parachute him into Cable's constituency, should be a 10k+ majority, unless the Conservatives magically regain a degree of competency.

Are anyone going to take the LibDems seriously if Chukka "changing politics parties for good" Umuna ends up as leader?

Can't think of a more self-serving and parochial move.

Why? All the Lib Dem’s need is a high profile leader and the ethnic card won’t be a bad one to hold.

I was a lifelong Conservative supporter, financially though in a relatively modest way. I will not be a member of or support any party led by Boris Johnson. So as of now I am a Lib Dem voter. I’m guessing others will think similarly.

THe LDs probably won't look too hard in that wardrobe for those bones that helped Chukka parachute out of the Labour leader contest
