This is getting a lot of credible traction now - is it true?

The UK should take the lead in the creation of a new European union based on a stronger connection with ordinary people, on knowledge sharing, transparency and fairness rather than wastefulness, interference and central control. It would run in parallel with the EU until member countries reached the point at which they felt more comfortable with one than the other. Competition, in other words rather than an unaccountable monopoly.

That just has to be scaremongering fantasy in the same way both campaigns for the vote last week were.http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-06-27/eu-offici...
Even as a committed eurosceptic, I can't see that happening.

This is what should have happened the first time around. There should have been a league of Northern European countries, and another made up of Southern/the rest. Perhaps even 2 Euro currencies. We can still get out of bed at 6am to go off for a full day's work, the southerners can have their 2 hour siestas and an early finish. The 2 currencies would reflect the difference in the respective economies... It's never too late for a NEU v2.0.http://www.tvp.info/25939587/europejskie-superpans...
That's the link to the document...if that's a legit document then they are going all in and I for one am glad we won't be part of it!

Seems quite plausible. After all why would France/Germany not now seek to rapidly accelerate the EU Super State project before the whole thing falls apart.
They can try but the Poles and Czechs will block it for starters. London424 said:

Now let's create a proper co-operative pan European organisation for those who don't fancy joining the super-state and we'll all be back where we thought we should have been from the start.

"Neither a simple call for more Europe nor a phase of mere reflection can be an adequate answer," Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Jean-Marc Ayrault said in the paper, a copy of which was seen by Reuters.
"To prevent the silent creeping erosion of our European project we have to be more focused on essentials and on meeting the concrete expectations of our citizens," they added.
The two ministers, whose countries are at the core of the EU, said it was important to recognize that member states had different appetites for deepening European integration.
"We have to find better ways of dealing with different levels of ambition so as to ensure that Europe delivers better on the expectations of all European citizens," they said.
