What power do you have?
Who gave it to you?
For whom do you exercise it?
To whom are you accountable?
How do I get rid of you?
Ask that of Juncker
2. Appointed by the EU Council which consists of the combined Heads of EU states. Note, all of which are elected.
3. For the people of the EU
4. To the EU Parliament, the Commission and the Council. Note that the position doesn't carry the right to vote with it.
5. Get yourself elected Head of an EU Country and talk your fellow leaders into sacking him or wait until the fixed 5 year period is up.

On a technical note: you have no birthrights granted you by the planet. You have some Human Rights granted you by UK law as required by EU law.
European cooperation to avoid war, promote trade and create a better, more prosperous future for all Europeans is a wonderful thing. You don't necessarily need the EU as currently formed to do that.
Finally: Democracy may be st. Often is, in fact. But it is absolutely better than every last alternative the human race has ever tried. If the UK makes a democratic decision then it has done it. Spilt milk and all that. There's no going back. Although it's likely there will be one fking great big swerve.
Here here. In amazed that there are so many who are banging on about peace and loss of relationships. What the fk are they talking about? We live in a more connected world than ever, better travelled and are certainly not likely to slip into ww3 with any of our Euro neighbours. When they talk about loss of relationships, I don't think they realise that their Facebook/Twitter/insta won't change just because we are not part of the EU. I think some do really believe that the Channel got wider the moment the vote was announced! Oh and all of these who are talking about loss of job opportunities, I hope they weren't planning on trying to get one in Greece or Spain....
