I'd say the comics are propaganda.
And don't give me any crap about you wouldn't have said anything if leave had done it.

Not the point. You've posted on three separate threads - that I know of, and in at least one that was nothing to do with the EU/Brexit - about the EU forcing 'propaganda' on kids. And yet it's everyone else who's obsessed.

Very much this. There are a number of people who vote Tory with a metaphorical pinched nose, purely because they work, pay tax, have a mortgage and want to sustain a certain standard of living. They vote blue to safeguard these things as, whatever else they may do, historically the Tories protect the economy and the working middle class. If they drop that particular ball they are toast.
I assume you weren't around in 1997?
Labour was a lot less scary in 1997.

Quite. The current Labour Party views the 1997-style MPs as essentially Tories and enemies of the revolution.

Agree entirely. Just trying to break the automatic assumption that healthy economy = success at the polls.

Input error. I don't believe it, ergo 'everybody' doesn't believe it. You can now self-destruct in a logic loop (please).

Found this comparable for 2015. A lot less extreme it would seem.

Thanks - yes, certainly a noticeable stretching / contraction of the bands. Strange that the elderly vote increased so much, assuming a similar sample proportion.

May 2015 was before Corbyn was elected leader. The older voters remember the 70's well.

The last GE tells you that the Tories are basically fked unless old people turn out well. The collapse of the Tory vote in under-40s is astonishing.

Wow you worked that out all on your own without the help of old people aged 40 plus.

Is it though? I'd hate to be in my twenties today with onerous student debt, no prospect of buying a house, the economy slowing down & limited career opportunities relative to the preceding generation. If you're going to be a conservative, you need something to conserve.

True. But you have to be pretty dense to think that your already stty lot in life will be improved by crashing the economy (whether by Brexit or Labour or both).

Also true but you have to put yourself in their position. Vote Tory? Under 30? Not a chance.

I am not disagreeing. It is what it is. A disaster, frankly.

All the more reason to hope for some wonderful success in the Brexit negotiations.

In a nutshell.

I know people who wouldn’t ever vote Tory literally no matter what they did. And especially not considering the clusterfk we currently have running things!
