Yeah, but what matters is that AJS got in first with the lie, and that's what people will remember.
To be fair, at the time the original BBC link was posted, the BBC story made no mention of their descriptions.
Fair enough. But it's a pattern on here that when one of these stories breaks someone will quickly post that 'the BBC don't have it on their front page/don't mention the description/don't mention the religion/etc/etc'. And then someone else points that in fact they have/do/etc. It's all rather predictable and a bit silly as press releases, especially early on when info is scant, will be standadised and reprinted verbatim by every agency.

What's 'very funny' about that ffs.

Why are you even joking about what could have been another Lee Rigby event?
You'll get there, eventually. Unclench.

You're right. I need to relax. In fact I've just seen the funny side of it. Hell, I even had to go to the window for air it was that funny.

I'm going to copy the image and email it to Marham base, marked FAO British Serviceman who just had two middle eastern looking guys come at him with a 3 inch military style knife. He'll love it.

Do you genuinely think that image may mislead the search?

Are you mental?

Diagnosis over the internet is very tricky.

I was thinking either a poo or a blow job - possibly badly in need of one or the other.

fk me. This is becoming daily.

I would hope the ANPR listings for that area are being filtered as we speak for dark coloured people carriers, and go from there.
Marham is in the middle of rural Norfolk, I really doubt there are many, if any, ANPR cameras for 30 miles around.

It's probably already been photoshopped and pinned up in the NAAFI.

Knowing a number of squaddies, the poor bloke who had the knife pulled on him has probably already had the piss ripped good and proper by his mates. The home of gallows humour.

Step away from your NUS card and copy of the Guardian. There is nothing bloody offensive about that picture laugh

The servicemen I know would piss themselves and nickname the victim 'Doc Brown' or 'Great Scott' after seeing it.

Rubber dinghy rapids man... Innit...

I really hope Britain's armed forces don't react in such a pansied frightened manner to two blokes asking a bloke out jogging if he wants to be abducted then politely driving off when he declines their offer as some on here have.

Get a grip.

In the Navy a middle eastern bloke coming at you waving 3 inches is what most signed up for, surely?

Not funny, and could mislead the search if reposted elsewhere. Take it down.

You will have read the links posted, but still. The only pattern is your reaction to all such events frown

Wonder why they didnt flatten him with the car and then attack him as per the Lee Rigby attack. Doesnt seem to have been a particularly serious or planned attempt to get the serviceman.

Because most terrorists are similar to those in Four Lions rather than in True Lies

It's close to the A47, a major route in East Anglia. I'd have thought there'd be cameras on that road.
