4 weeks on from this "attempted abduction" and it's gone very quiet. Not a single piece of cctv has been made public to help identify the assailants. Did they just disappear into thin air? Did they even exist in the first place?

He actually sounded quite convincing (well the actor who played him) on crime watch and apparantly he's had to take a lengthy absence from work due to the stress and worry of it all.

Yet still no solid leads - what an bizarre case.

The police must think it happened as usually by now these sort of things have been rumbled. The kid in the black van recently for example.

Maybe they know more than they're letting on?

There was no attempted kidnapping.

It's what will be coming known as a "Ryan Lochte"

(Think I've said this before)

Move on nothing to see.

So whose blood and DNA was he covered in?

I highly highly highly doubt anyone would do such a thing.

A 'Ryan Lochte', really? Did we have an Internet poll to redefine 'boy who cried wolf' or something?

Extremely worrying - very likely to be linked
Linked to what? It's the same incident isn't it?

wb might have thought the link was about an RAF gunner who went missing in Suffolk last month and still hasn't been found?:-

Not at all, it just at means there are no further active lines of enquiry so the evidential trail has dried up.
