She is the type of person who thinks she is too important in her job to step aside, even to the detrement of her own wellbeing.

I hope it's nothing too serious, she should step down and take care of herself first, but I think you may be right

The outdoor incident, she seemed on the verge of keeling over, looked quite distressed.

Let's hope it's something simple, bad side-effect to a new medication or something.

Mutti hasn’t been well for a while and is expecting to bow out of politics fairly soon. The race is on for her successor, indeed the last lot of elections in Germany was being seen in some ways as part of the litmus testing of who is seen in favourable light.

This is reasonably well known and has been for a while. I’m not aware that she has confirmed what it is exactly that is wrong though.

I think her public have a right to know exactly what's up with her. Clearly something is not right.

I thought something straight away when seeing her shaking outside.

If it is what I fear it is why is she keeping it quiet as long as possible?

It's appalling to think she's putting herself through this for what cause? Denial?

It's definitely something that's effecting her memory, she keeps forgetting to take her wifi enabled love egg out.

Parkinson's - Ley Sander, a professor of neurology at University College London told MailOnline the shakes Mrs Merkel had was definitely 'not a sign' of Parkinson's - a condition often associated with tremors.

Possible causes:
Over-active thyroid
Side effect of other medication
Low blood sugar
Essential tremor
Orthostatic tremor?
infection

Going to hell for that one hehe

My first thought was Parkinsons or some sort of motor neuron syndrome.

Clearly not, according to the media

however uncontrollable muscle spasms generally mean something is very wrong

I wish the best for her and hope she makes the right decision if her job is affecting it. She has always seemed a politician who does it for the country rather than herself, unlike a certain one more to the east.
