I'm not sure about "not allowed", "not wise" would seem closer to the truth.

Well in the real world before you made a big ticket purchase like that you would talk to the other half. Particularly as it will mean one room, or most of one room, needs to be allocated to a home gym.

I've bought my wife a treadmill in the past, a proper one that was close to gym standard.

Unless your missus has already admitted she's fat/unfit and wants to do something about it, you'd be on a death wish buying her any kind of exercise/fitness equipment as a surprise and I'd recommend staying a safe distance away when she unwraps it hehe .

Poundland's tradition of Christmas advertising continues with them publishing details of Cadbury's chocolate biscuits.
Their online advert lasted but a few hours.

I agree with the ban on the strength of using the word "banter".

Surely if you own a peloton exercise bike you have a stunning location for it

That is funny. Are all the pics from Peleton themselves?

Ryan Reynolds/ Aviation Gin using the same actress in their advert. Becoming a meme is probably not a bad thing if you're in advertising.

the whole peloton stuff is BS, based on massive exaggerations. Class sizes of thousands, they make out the instructor will know who you are.

Plus you'll get a far better workout with more uneven surfaces, dodging wonky drain covers and potholes.

Not funny, it's f. sad!
Who'd want to wipe up all the sweat, not to mention body odours? Give me an outside 'bike' anyday!

By the way Randy, is Peleton a cheap Brazilian copy of the Peloton? smile

Just lucky this sort of crap isn't support any kind of bubble. What austerity.

BAFTA getting battered this morning for not ticking enough BAME actors or female directors boxes in their nominations

https://www.itv.com/news/2020-01-07/bafta-nominati...

"Bafta chief executive Amanda Berry has said it is "disappointing" that all of the acting nominees for this year's film awards are white and there are no female directors recognised."

I'm offended that they feel their awards ceremony needs to meet particular quotas and they can't just get over the fact that some years the five best films/performances might all happen to be from white males.
