This is like pulling teeth! Right, when you had the compound fracture, at that point in time, was it a fact that you had a skeleton?
I was on morphine at the time; if I'd seen a pink elephant, would that have been a fact too?
I think the doctors that were there would be able to clarify that one was a fact and one was fiction.

Are you religious by any chance?

There are many things which are unproven and we adapt out views based on the available evidence. However that does not mean some things are not proven beyond doubt.

If we don't know how that particular part of physics works, it stands to reason that we don't really know how any part of the universe works. All we have is acceptance and belief.

No, I'm an atheist. And how can you be certain there were doctors there?

Let us know when the morphine's worn off.

I'm not talking about the universe when talking about things we know for certain. Hence the statement we know some things as fact and some will develop as our understanding develops. For the second time, it's ridiculous to say we don't know some things as fact.

The flat earth was "fact". Terracentrism was "fact". The canals of Mars were "fact". "Facts" are not facts. There is no such thing as a 100% certainty anywhere in the Universe.

I can see this is going to be difficult. I currently have 2 legs - fact. I don't think any form of advancement is going to change that.

The earth is spherical if you want a universal fact. How will anyone disprove that? When people thought the earth was flat, they hasn't observed what we can now.

Lets try a different approach, is it a fact Leicester won the premiership football league last season?

A few who were at Old Trafford today might just be double checking that fact on their way home this afternoon.

Monster thread by the way.

Is it a fact that the moon exists?

Is it a fact that other stars exist?

Most of the stars we can see in the sky don't exist - they're millions of light years away and died long before the light from them arrived here.

You are being deliberately retarded and you know it. But going back to stars, even if some have died - it's a fact they once existed.

And you conveniently dodged the moon question. What about other planets in our solar system?

Are you claiming those are facts?

They're a long way away - they could well have just exploded and we wouldn't know about it.
