Ahh but she was asked in July and again in August.A very simple question(s). Did you have any idea, even a clue. She said no. It was all directed around the assignment to write the report which she said she just wanted to do without any carrot. She is a liar, so is Abbott.

why? Do you think that any other country would have behaved any better? If there had been no Empire would the various Indian/African/A.N.Other factions have behaved any better? I'd venture to suggest that they would have been, at the very least, equally as bad. Should the Italians feel shame for the Roman empire? The Perisans? Huns? Mongols?

It's not because they thought it was a good ruse to learn a 2nd language.

All major powers were at it in the 16th to late 19th century, all over the world.

Loads of nations built empires up and lost them over time, that's just the way of the world.

Where it gets different is that we walked away without being kicked out militarily or just collapsing, leaving behind boundaries on maps which look like some sort of sick joke designed to cause as much post-colonial conflict as possible.

Of course there's no way of knowing what would've happened if the Middle East and parts of Africa had been left to set their own natural borders based on tribal and other ethnic or religious groupings, but they could hardly have done any worse, could they?
