Hard work does not get you to the top. Ruthlessness, psychopathy and a large dose of luck often does though.

Merely working extra hours wont do you much apart from your bosses taking advantage of your free labour and turns you into a right chump. I hope you're not a careers advisor.
What a load of misinformed clap trap.

Corbyn being a right cocky in his reply to the Queen's speech. Giving way mostly to Labour MPs, Diane Abbott telling all the Tory MPs trying to interject to sit down.

No no, you've got it all wrong garyhun.

He's the clever one, getting away with as little as possible at work so he doesn't enrich them, you know the ruthless psychopaths who sit in their offices all day dreaming up ever more devious ways of ruining his life. Extra hours? What mugs! Don't they realise that all they're doing is showing the bosses how easy it is to take advantage.

So what if he's still doing the same job he started at 10 years ago, at least he's not a chump eh? So what if the guy that started last year got promoted above him - sheer luck, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. He probably knows someone 'upstairs', and anyway he's only going to get the piss taken out of him even more now he's a team lead. So much extra hassle he stays after hours every night to get everything done - Chump.
And the guy who was team lead before him - stabbed Donkey in the back when he made team lead after 18 months by brown nosing the management and telling them Donkey wasn't up to the job. Now he sits in the corner office managing a whole department - he's one of them.

The only reason he's still earning the same as when he started is because those that rose to the top did so on the back of his hard work. They robbed him of his potential. It's only fair he slopes off for two hours at lunchtime and leaves at 4.30 when no-one's looking, I mean, he'd be a mug to be there after hours, only a real chump would do that.......

It was three from either sides, was it not.

Wasn't counting, must admit, but it was a bit much telling Tory members he wasn't giving way then almost instantly giving way to someone from the opposition.

I am in despair and cant understand why the Tories are not metaphorically ripping Corbyn and his cronies apart. They should not lose any opportunity in discrediting the terrorist sympathising prick JC, he is hopeless and dangerous on defence, security and the economy, to name but three. He should be totally tainted and stained by his past and reminded on a hourly basis by the Tories that he is a danger to national security, this should never be forgotten.

He is supported by McDonnell who is economically illiterate and another dangerous Marxist with a dark and sinister past. Whilst the Tories need to adapt and modify their economic policies, they should be forensically dismantling every facet of the fantasy economics of the Labour Party's policies - why aren't they doing it???

Sorry but Theresa needs her P45 by the Autumn and we need a charismatic, strong leader who can outsmart the Trots (Don't ask me who!)and take JC to task at every opportunity.

I just watched the YouTube clips on Corbyn (and friends) adulation of Hugo Chavez and Venezuala, a sobering reminder of the direction Corbyn will take this country.

God help us if he gets into power and I will never forgive the Tories for allowing it to happen.

Glastonbury starts tomorrow so bound to have some really good thunderstorms. Not sure when Steptoe is going but what I want to know is will he walk on top of the water / mud or will all his worshipers surf him over the top of the crowd?

I think the Tories figured that with Labour moving further to the left than ever, it was sensible for them to move a bit left and mop up some labour moderates. After all, believers in free markets would still vote Conservative because there was nowhere else to go. This is where we got 'government is a force for good' came from.

In hindsight what was required was a robust defence of free market economics. It's noticeable that a lot of Labour support came not just from under 25s but especially under 35s. The people too young to remember the eastern European communist bloc and how much it's inhabitants wanted to escape. Free market capitalism needs to be defended all over again, and TMs interventionist instincts don't help. ''Government is a force for good' indeed!

Corbyn is committing assisted political suicide with the help of McDonnell. It is a beautiful thing to see. We should embrace it.

I can assure you good doctor that my children, both well under the age of 35 but old enough to vote, are well enough educated to know to be standing on my side of the barricades 'come the revolution'.

Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbot are all too old to be around in another five years as political threats. Another blissful thought for the day.

You don't need to love Tories in order to hate Marxists.
And I think you and others are absolutely on the mark; the moderate left will turn away in their droves after these few weeks.

Actually you need to consider the differing political models before spouting that JC is a trotskyist He is actually a democratic socialist so maybe this link may help provide a better understanding of the position taken https://www.reddit.com/r/Socialism_101/comments/3j...

In the mean time lets have the tories have their own way......rip up the NHS for private profit just like the utilities and thats just for starters.

In the year 3017, when cold fusion is an exercise for primary school kids, we are having skiing holidays on Pluto and the Andromedan ambassador is being welcomed at Chipping Norton intergalactic spaceport. The left will still be saying 'this is the last chance to save the NHS'.

Once (if) TM gets her mojo back she will be ripping him one, trouble is, it's only in PMQs that she does it. She's not comfortable standing in a studio having disrespectful members of the audience shout her down because she likes things to remain dignified.

In the the commons there are rules that stop things getting too out of hand and that is where she is happiest. And that for me was her biggest error in the campaign, not showing up for a leaders debate in a GE that she actually called. Very bad form. And I'm a blue.

Thank you. I have now seen the light and it all makes sense now. I've signed up and pledged to carry a banner at the next march to bring the Tories down.

"Rip up the NHS for private profit?, i've heard this crap before, remind me who made prolific use of PFI to build hospitals? Frankly, proved the principle of 'free at the point of use' is maintained, is it really that bad that more efficient and well managed parts of the private sector have an involvement in delivery of healthcare?
