He'd have been fairly easy to pick off with a rifle on that stage.

Did the BBC show his full speech live? If so that was over 14 minutes of a party political broadcast for free.

He would always have got a good reception but allowing him that long with no interruption or questioning seems wrong to me on a platform seen by so many.

I doubt Eavis would invite May and give her a platform, but let us no forget whilst Corbyn was berating the rich he was doing so on the land of a multi millionaire farmer who has had subsidies from the EU no doubt under the CAP.

As a summary, Gasto would need to close as ".... How would the contractors who put on Glasto afford the caterers and the security staff with a minimum wage of £10 and no flexibility in how they employ staff? How would the lesser bands afford the roadies if they had to be employed on permanent contracts guaranteeing them so many hours work a week even when the band wasn’t touring? A Corbyn government would presumably want to introduce pay ratios for bands, as he does for public sector contractors – so Thom Yorke’s pay would be pegged to that of the guy who lumps around the amplifiers for Radiohead. I think he might just go and play Las Vegas instead.

A Corbyn government might like to look at the ticket prices, too, which have increased from £1 in 1970 to £238 this year – that’s a 20-fold increase even allowing for inflation. Perhaps they will be capped, to stop the festival becoming even more middle class. If Corbyn really wants to emulate his socialist heroes, Michael Eavis will find himself having Worthy Farm nationalised beneath his nose, turned into state farm number 101...."

Still, somehow Comrade Corbyn is seen as "cool", Why is beyond most normal thinking people. But remember at one time, being a grown up liking Rolf Harris was seen as cool. Or liking the Lostprophets, or...

Meanwhile, May went to Armed Forces Day which probably isn't as cool as eating free Pringles and handing out beer (paid for by someone else).

Hypocrisy, what every good socialist state is built on....

So he clearly has zero affinity or empathy with the Armed Forces, this will come back to bite him at some point - complete Bell end. He is riding the crest of a wave, not a big enough wave to get him to Downing Street, but we know that every wave eventually comes crashing down. Maybe Conservative Central Office are playing the long game......

Why would they emulate that?
Because besides fluffing his ego; it's winning him more support... perhaps.
