Will any so called Labour moderates show some courage and say “enough is enough” and leave this jew hating party?
I guess they probably feel attached to their party and would rather stay and get rid of them (the anti semites)
That will be quite a big task. I suspect it could involve a fairly high percentage of members.

EFA.

Very few of them have the balls to stand up and actually do anything. At least in part because there appears to be a significant number of people out there who agree with Corbyn and all his bks.

It's genuinely scary how many people out there support him and all he represents.

Yes, I heard that. Barry desperately trying to walk the impossible line between justifying his leader's responses in yesterdays meeting and making it absolutely clear how he himself felt about the situation.
I thought Barry did quite well under what were utterly impossible circumstances. He failed (of course) but 10 out of 10 for effort.

How anyone can support a party and a leader so clearly riddled with anti semitism and so utterly unable to deal with it is beyond me.

Did everyone see his response to the press this morning? Just kept saying Good morning over and over until he reached his waiting car.

Yes. Very funny. Piers Morgan was beside himself on ITV GMB and they showed it three times.

It's not often I have any sympathy with Jeremy Corbyn (and I think his handling of the ant-semitism issue has been inept), but it is correct that he can't simply expel people, and that due process needs to be followed. Whether that process is fit for purpose, or has been followed to date, are of course separate points.

Publicly committing to have the majority of cases dealt with by the end of July seems like a pretty bold move.

I don't what additional income he receives from investments.

After a quick look seems his net worth is 3 million pounds with a 600k house and £8 in expenses.

Is that what JC committed top or what people want him to commit to?

Staggeringly out of touch with reality.

the article said:
Jeremy Corbyn has said he does not think he is wealthy, despite his £137,000 salary.
I'm assuming he is (to use Nassim Nicholas Taleb's excellent phrase), like the best in politics and big business, utterly anti-fragile. Certain that in spite of any future tax or economic armageddon his party are planning to unleash, he will continue unaffected.

Don't feel too sorry for him. He is the one dragging these people along with him, they are his crowd and it is he who turns a blind eye.
He really is no different to what someone like Farage is accused of with right wing people, sailing too close to the line and emboldening their views.

He doesn't seem the least bit sorry, he is just now reacting to bad headlines and I believe is seething with anger. I think he believes, like many of his supporters do, this is just a smear campaign in which he is being forced to apologise and the problem doesn't really exist.
Again, in line with his supporters, he seems to believe he can't be racist in this way because he has genuinely stood up to and been a lifelong anti racism campaigner.

The Labour party is now just a joke. His brand of Labour has dragged in every idiot going in. I didn't much care for Labour when it was Milliband, but that was just policy issues. Now its loon policies on steroids, made by raving revolutionaries with more than a smattering of antisemitism chucked in.

Yeah and it’s happening under his watch.

If you’re running a club and it’s getting a reputation for having loads of undesirables joining, you’d have a good look at yourself and wonder where you were going wrong.

He also isn't just the innocent leader at the top embarrassed by those around him. He too is one of those involved, probably to a lesser degree , but his actions embolden his crowd who are swelling the Labour ranks now.

His inaction on dealing with cases like Ken and implementing the Chakrabarti report are not because it takes two year to do either, but more because he hopes it would have blown over in that time.
Like the Republicans in the US now looking back at George Bush as being sensible and moderate next to Trump, the Labour must be thinking the same of Miliband.

What utter rubbish. There's a huge lack of perspective on this issue.

As long as certain groups keep setting impossible demands, Corbyn will fail to meet them. I'm surprised we haven't heard "Corbyn must act on Natalie Portman" yet...

He's managed to replace the party gen sec & get control of the NEC, which are the posts that matter in respect of all this. Let's see how the new team acts. I don't think I've ever seen McNichol being criticised for failing to act on anti semitism cases, but he seemed more interested in purging party members who'd once "liked" or retweeted a Green party post or similar. You have to realise how much the party machine has been working against the Labour left for the past 2 years.

Antisemitism is not exclusive to Labour, but I expect Labour to deal with it from their own party members. I also expect them to operate within their own rule book and processes. I don't want a party leader to be too dominant and autocratic.

He's promised the earth to various sectors of society, so why not add Natalie Portman to the list?

There’ll be no deliveroo, he hates that sort of business, or any business really.
