What would it cost for the rest of Ireland to leave the EU?
If they are still net beneficiaries from EU membership I can't see them wanting to leave. What would it cost the UK to convince them to walk away?

Interesting
Perhaps they should have a referendum?

Unless of course PH team leave haven't got a clue what they are talking about. But hey, we are leaving and things will be the same for a 3rd country as being a member of the EU.

Farage tried in February of this year but doesn't seem to be pursuing it any further.
Maybe the ROI don't want the UK taking control of them.
Well there is a giant leap!Maybe the ROI don't want the UK taking control of them.
From ROI having a referendum on the EU to being controlled by the UK.
How does one lead to the other in your mind?

Nothing wrong with hammering another nail in the EU coffin.

Who will be persuading to have a referendum. Who will be wanting to bang the nail in the coffin. From ROI having a referendum on the EU to being controlled by the UK.

Who will be running ROI post referendum?

When is the ROI referendum ?Who will be running ROI post referendum?
Who would be voting and running the ROI should they vote Leave in a referendum?
You suggested that the UK would be but seem more concerned about pedantry than explaining your massive leap.
Any chance you could explain?

There is no ROI referendum. Someone will need to persuade them to have one. I can't see the EU persuading them. It would need to be the Uk persuading them, Nige had a go this year and gave up. Who do you suggest persuades them to trade and live under Uk law or will they be going it alone as a 3rd country to the Uk.Who would be voting and running the ROI should they vote Leave in a referendum?

Do you not consider the Irish people of being capable of running their own country and making their own laws?
How did they survive before joining the EU?

Yet again you have conflated the Irish people voting to not be ruled by the EU with be run by the UK.

Ok, if they left the EU. What would they be hoping to achieve? Would it be something like leave the CU/SM to trade under a completely different system to the EU and UK while stopping freedom of movement.Do you not consider the Irish people of being capable of running their own country and making their own laws?

You also assume that FMOP is a good thing.

They may hope to achieve exactly the same thing that every leave voter in the UK wants to achieve.

And what is that? You also assume that FMOP is a good thing.
Be the first to spell out what you will be getting and then send it to May so that she know what to achieve.
Edit: better still send it to the ROI and see if you can temp them to have a referendum.
