Barack and Michelle Obama and Elizabeth Warren have unfollowed and deleted tweets about Hillary.
The Obamas are very astute people who care immensely about their legacy and what historians will say about them. Of course they want the next President to be a Democrat and campaigned very effectively for Hillary but they value their legacy more. They know where this is going and they are staying well clear of that minefield. The endorsement of the FBI director as he announced the reopening of the investigation into Hillary Clinton from the Anthony Wiener computer evidence is strong evidence of this.

I don't understand the vitriol on here from mainly non-Americans who don't live there or have a vote.

Even if you live there or have a vote or both it's fairly uncalled for.

the shudder after Brexit announcement will be minor compared to a Trump will.

Betters betting, will need to rapidly reorganise = upset / turmoil
As I've said before, a Trump win won't be all bad, the dollar will tank and then trips to the US will be cheap!

In volume 1 of this Topic somebody said that they thought Chelsea Clinton might not be the nicest of people.
Whether she is nice or not is something I will never find out but in all of this it is very clear to me that she acted with the highest level of integrity until very recently with respect to the Clinton foundation, calling in a law firm to audit it.
Unfortunately she unwittingly found out that while the charity does some good work it also seems to be a money laundering operation for pay to play politics.

Free world and all that. However, I am most curious to see how this fella will actually work out in the top job. It really is looking to be building to a perfect storm if he does, or he turns out to be the best el Presidente ever.

Add into that that if Corbyn gets in here, that will be very interesting times. Putins wet dream comes true on both sides of the Atlantic........wobble

I don't think that a lot of people are happy about the choice of candidates; however the choices look like a publicity hungry businessman and reality tv star who could never have entered the U.S. diplomatic corps, a former governor who has no idea about foreign affairs, a lady from the Green party and a candidate who based on the evidence coming out makes Robert Mugabe look honest.

USC poll has Trump tied at his all time high (47.8, +5.4) and is above the Margin of Error

The gray band is a "95-percent confidence interval". Figures lying outside the gray band mean that we are at least 95% confident that the candidate with the highest percentage will win the popular vote.

It staggers my mind that Trump even has a chance.
Relax. He really doesn't.

NYT predictor says Clinton had an 88% chance, Trump 12% chance. If you look logically at the map and factor in the fact that 25% of the vote is already in and early voting favors Clinton... 12% is generous.
Hope you're right but after Brexit I wouldn't count any chickens.

A very small part of me hopes he does win. It would have been fun watching him try to wriggle out of his promises and be exposed for the huckster he is.

OTOH, if she wins you'll still be able to watch her backtrack on her anti-TPP position faster than you can say "Clinton Foundation Donations" laugh
