Not very original using Ali, I used him on here weeks ago!

So when Clinton wins next Tuesday you're going to come here and apologize for getting it so wrong and for doubting the posters on the ground in the USA (excluding 5ohpreston - he doesn't count) who told you that Trump would lose? Are you prepared to make that commitment or are you just a troll?
No, I've never said trump would win. I have never claimed to have any insight,

You on the other hand dismiss outright anything that goes against your fanatic fanboyism.

The only person "on the ground" (for all the worth that is in a country of 320,000,000 people and 3,797,000 square miles) is you and you made clear very early on that you were overcompensating for not being a native and trying to out-froth every other Dem supporter on Earth.
Rubbish, there's Mikal83 and various others. All solid chaps with sensible opinions. The only relatively sane GOP yank was jimbeaux and he hated Trump and cleared off months ago, presumably in disgust at his party's appalling choice.

I see that Trump is now ahead in the polls.

This bodes well for world peace. Trump and Putin seem to actually like each other.

I can't see him lasting a full term. Putin will show him what real world politics are.
Following on from the era when Obama showed him who was boss I suppose?

Many of us are not nostalgic for the Cold war and would actually like someone who will deal with the Russians rather than impotently lecture them.
Not about what has happened, it is about what this person thinks he will do. Having a chin wag with Putin, yep, that will work.

LOL. I've said repeatedly for months that Clinton wasn't my choice and I'd have preferred someone with less baggage. Compared to the alternative however she is the only choice.

I hope she'll consider running for one one term only and handing over to Corey Booker or Kamala Harris or Julian Castro. Personally I'd like to see Andre Carson on the ticket as he's a Muslim and that would really fk with the heads of the bigots. 5ohpreston already called me Un American for suggesting it. biggrin

Maybe not unAmerican, but once again you prove you're as narrow minded and idiotic as those you espouse distaste of by judging someone based on their religion.

Eh? Andre's a great guy and an excellent speaker. He introduced Obama the first time I saw him. I thought then that Andre would be on a major ticket one day. What's Un American is the view of the right articulated (albeit poorly) on this thread by 5ohpreston that he is disqualified by dint of his religion.

Relax. He really doesn't.

NYT predictor says Clinton had an 88% chance, Trump 12% chance. If you look logically at the map and factor in the fact that 25% of the vote is already in and early voting favors Clinton... 12% is generous.

Yeah, lauding postal voting, that'll win you respect in these parts.

Aww, original thread meant i can't quote 5ohmental for citing Katie fking Hopkins as valid.

5oh, that's crossing the line sir. The only time anyone should refer to Hopkins is when you're having a "biggest " competition and the guy before you has bid piers Morgan.

Frankly both are amateurs by comparison with the candidates for POTUS.

You believe it isn't an issue? Have we forgotten the Diebold scandal with Kerry and Shrub?

Given the media collusion on display and HRC's list of corporate backers, I have little to no doubt voting machines will be problematic.
Or the 54,000 voters in Florida a few years ago 'accidentally' incorrectly classified as felons and so not allowed to vote. The majority were African Americans who tend to vote Democrat. .
You aren't even talking about the same election.

Is the State side postal voting as bad as the UKs? Ours and the farce that has surrounded it would shame a banana republic tbh.

I don't know, how could anyone know? The possibilities for fraud opened up by postal voting are so great that it just cannot be considered legitimate by anyone with a genuine interest in democracy.

Nor postal voting, early voting. In many states polls have been open for some time already. Not in a lot of republican states where they want to suppress the minority vote of course although there have already been instances of right wing thugs with dogs at polling places trying to intimidate black voters. We can expect plenty of that next Tuesday.

I'm going to try to engage you in a sane conversation. What is the justification for "early voting"? I was about to weigh in with my thoughts about the concept, but realised that that would be prejudicial. I should be grateful if you could "start the ball rolling" as it were however, with a fact based, cogent and, above all, bile free response. Thanks in advance. (Who knows I might learn something.)
