Isn't early voting akin to postal voting in the UK? An opportunity to vote based your own schedule leading up to an election?

Exactly. Early voting is an excellent idea as it allows voters to vote when convenient and when there are not long lines at peak times that sometimes take hours to get through. Hourly paid workers, who tend to be democrat voters and in whose numbers are a lot of minority voters, cannot afford to spend hours away from work and often cannot vote if faced by long lines. You're also less likely to be intimidated if you vote early. Everyone knows that Trump will have his storm troopers at polling places in ethnic areas on Election Day to try and suppress the vote, he's been recruiting at every rally for the past few months. Many minorities will have voted early where possible to avoid intimidation although, as mentioned previously, there have been attempts to intimidate such voters already. Republican states tend to oppose early voting for obvious reasons.

I'm going to try to engage you in a sane conversation. What is the justification for "early voting"? I was about to weigh in with my thoughts about the concept, but realised that that would be prejudicial. I should be grateful if you could "start the ball rolling" as it were however, with a fact based, cogent and, above all, bile free response. Thanks in advance. (Who knows I might learn something.)
Ah well, it was worth a try.

A vote for Hilary is a vote for WW3...will this be in the back of peoples mind's when they vote?

Trump generally seems to want to rebuild relations with Putin/Russia and has similar long term goals in the ME.

Well, Trump is a bit of a racist and Hillary probably doesn't give a st about them, or Latinos, or any other minority voter group likely to have large swathes of poor people in its ranks despite what she claims, so why bother voting for a candidate that won't represent you?

Maybe not unAmerican, but once again you prove you're as narrow minded and idiotic as those you espouse distaste of by judging someone based on their religion.
Actually I called him unamerican because he has broken his Oath of Allegiance to the United States, which is taken when you naturalize. It was nothing to do with religion what so ever.

Hello, am a bit new to this and don't normally follow the US elections but I guess Trump v Clinton has sparked my curiosity.

So apparently Trump is close/ahead in the polls? But if you look at the electoral vote Clinton looks to be in a good position, even if Trump picks up some of the marginal blue territory he would struggle or am I missing something?

Not sure what you mean by "rebuild" relations with Russia? The only time the West has had cordial relations with Russia was when the USSR collapsed. Since then the least aggressive POTUS has been Obama.. Putin needs a lapdog in the White House and if that's how the US wants to frame its relationship with Russia then Trumps definitely your man.

Could you give an example of HOW he's broken his Oath of Allegiance ?

You sound like one of those mentalist Oathkeepers.....

You believe it isn't an issue? Have we forgotten the Diebold scandal with Kerry and Shrub?

Given the media collusion on display and HRC's list of corporate backers, I have little to no doubt voting machines will be problematic.
I think it was a real issue in Bush V Gore. I vaguely recall the name diebold, I had forgotten any issues in the Kerry/Bush fight.

Indeed!

We have further evidence of left wing bias in the media. This time from CNN (Clinton News Network).

Hopkins calls CNN the Clinton News Network, anchor loses it

I'd really like to see her on Question Time. Poor old Dimbleby wouldn't know what hit him.

unrepentant, do not click on the above link. You really would not like it.

Well I have placed my money on Trump. Only a small ten pound bet on what i consider to be poor odds but when he wins I will get £45 which is nice.

I think John Oliver put forward a good video on criticising how crazy it is for the US to have it's election on a Tuesday. It's a throwback to the start, and should probably be re-jigged for the current world.

According to Unrep, CNN is anti-Clinton. That may just be the post of the year in terms of comedic value.
