I would agree there are considerable risks in the EU, but I also think they can be navigated, and I suspect they will be.
Any evidence?
I would love to see your argument that counters what almost every economist of note is saying.

Nearly all economists agree the Eurozone has challenges and needs some form of reform/reinvention/modified rules etc. - and there are many articles about how this may be achieved - most recently about how Macron may provide some answers.

Some say it absolutely will crash/die, but it doesn't seem all - by any stretch - think that is a foregone conclusion.

You mean the one you posted from April, where the US guy postulates about a Le Pen win in France and how even a referendum called by her on the Euro would cause a run on the banks? How is that panning out?
Nope, both guys are British and talk about Italy, they say Le Pen most likely wont win. So that panned out perfectly.

They are telling people who can, to not invest in the Eurozone because its a basket case.

No, the 2nd guy says who knows, Pen might not win but who knows, it'll be close (it wasn't) - look at Trump. Could happen. Guessing.

(I was watching with sound off on the subtitles - he looks like he's American smile ).

Our currency keeps repeatedly dipping vs the Euro so that's very reassuring.

And this guy is a life long academic - an expert - who listens to them these days?

Is he one of the 8 economists who thought brexit was a good idea, like Prof "shut the car plants" Minford?

Ha ha - seriously? That's the link?

Crikey - brexiteers are desperate for news to prop up their fears!
I chuckled a lot at the irony of that comment

I also said nothing about the article, only that it contained direct quotes.

I found the article by googling.

If you believe the quotes are genuine then I'm not sure that the source is very relevant.

Bloke who wrote Art 50 thinks we should think again.

Interesting to see support for 2nd ref jump 6 points.

Best bit is Davis saying no one else will leave the EU. Why so sure - its almost as if it would be crazy to leave, eh?

Bloke who wrote article 50 is on record as saying he wrote it to completely deter any country using it.
Please google this for yourself...and you will see it is true.

oh... And why piss on their beer - by saying other countries will leave.
You really need to get a good book on negotiation skills.

I can recommend a few if you are interested.

You are talking to the person who said if we just voted to remain, we'd negotiate after having delivered them the legitimacy the EU never had, and also managing to succeed where Cameron failed on threat of leaving.
I'm not sure ///ajd knows what he is talking about when it comes to much, let alone negotiatons.

Only another 16% to go for that poll to get to the less than half that lost the first referendum.

Despite the "shambles", "catastrophe" and "enough is enough" 68% of people still don't want a second vote.

What is being divisive right now is idiots like that blubbing on that the end is nigh for our part in a project that he was complicit in.

The majority in this country do not agree with his vision. He needs to suck that up and think about some proper arguments as the boo hoo continuation of project fear in that article is boring and people don't fall for it.

Out of interest, by what measure is our reputation badly damaged as a result of Brexit??

He only wrote Article50 in case of a dictatorial leadership situation. Tit. They only wrote it because they knew there'd be trouble with Lisbon without it. Maybe if he'd done a better job whilst part of the machine we would never have wanted out.

It has made us an utter laughing stock on the world stage. It makes us look as moronic as the Americans for electing Trump.

I come into contact with a huge number of other foreign nationals on a daily basis and am utterly ashamed and embarrassed of what is so obviously a small minded act of logic-defying stupidity, spearheaded by a few very ambitious and utterly reckless MPs.

And yet 500k of those foreigners are clambering to join us each year.

Really weird one that isn't it?

Not really, we are a wealthy desirable place to live, like how the USA still is despite Trump, presumably people still want to move to the USA too as it is better than wherever they live, despite the simple minded idiocy of the electorate there?

Well I am, kind of like how you'd possibly be angry if some mindless morons keyed a load of cars in a car park, in the belief that it would somehow result in everyone getting a better car
