Another point albeit anecdotal; how many were even influenced by the campaign?

Im yet to meet a voter in either direction that didn't know which way they were voting before any campaigning was even started.
Again, for the lunchtime crowd, if people are so unbiddable, tell me why companies spend millions advertising with the single intention of influencing their behaviour..
Firstly my sincere apologies for having better things to do. rolleyes

I dont doubt its effective im just not convinced the argument really holds much water when the suggestion is that the result was effected by external sources.

The method implied being social media doesn't appear the reflect the demographic most likely to vote leave and I've yet to meet anyone that changed their vote mid campaign.

Were circa 1.3 million people effected by ludicrous meme's via SM?
There isn't a good time of the day to disagree or indeed question the opinion of Eddie, which are of course unchallengeable.

Arguably doing so at lunchtime is better than doing it late at night, when you get called an ahole by Eddie because you've managed to crawl back home from your local Wetherspoons and try the same, challenge what Eddie holds as opinions/views as being anything other than unassailable.

It's been the case for months and after countless posts, that it's Eddie's way or the highway, and to question such makes you an irrelevance.

Of course without any firm evidence to support that the interference coming from the Russians had any influence on any one's decision to vote Leave or Remain makes the evidence of such interference just that, evidence that it happened.

Didn't you make a solemn promise to ignore me? It's your self discipline that always lets you down.

Anyhoo, I fully agree with your analysis up to the last sentence. So why not break the habit of a lifetime & drop the bitter insults & answer my questions. Why are Russia investing in online trolling?

So you have no opionion on it. Thanks for confirming that fact.

Btw, that two year old's dinner, would that be the child you own's dinner?
Two possibilities. You either can't work out what's being said to you form my words or from the multiple links helpfully provided to you or you're attempting to troll the discussion.

If it's the former, then I pity you. If it's the latter then you're simply claiming your place amongst the lowest common denominator of the leave vote demographic. If on the other hand, you think you're winding me up, you're sorely mistaken. You seem to be just one more pointlessly contrarian internet random unable to offer any answer as to why you claim to love your country but are happy fall in step with a foreign state.
And you think you are winding me up via the Arsenal and my quoting ability, or lack of.
I'm Credulous because I question your version of stuff you espouse. As for the Patriotic Englishman guff, if any leave voter has said similar, I have no doubt several remainers would have jumped straight on them. The referendum wasn't just about England and I happen to come from Scottish and Irish parents , which funnily enough does'nt make me unpatriotic.

Now on to some more of your accusations, or assumptions if you wish.
Where in any of my posts have I said I am "happy to fall in step with a forieign state", and, where was I asked to explain where I loved my country and according to you was unable to answer?

Forget the links,I'll read them later, help me out here, let's assume you are correct and so far I cannot work out what's being said from, not form, your words, tell me again what effect a possible Russian Bot propaganda campaign had on the referendum, and do YOU!Eddie, that's YOU personally, think it warrants another one?

Are you actually stupid? I've answered you twice now.

Why is the Russian state investing in online deception resulting in thousands of false social media accounts propagating disinformation across Twiter & Facebook. Why are they doing that?

No you won't. You've got no interest in learning anything, only in bickering.

p

Eddie, you are absolutely full of it chap.
If you thought the latter, why did you ask the former?

Fwiw, I have no doubt the Russians, N.Koreans, Chinese and I wouldn't discount the Americans, are running disinformation campaigns, the doubt concerns the effectiveness of them, and which you decline to answer. Do you doubt we also run such campaigns?

Oh, and you can add the fact I consider you to be a raving hippocrite, you moan like a bh when you think someone is winding you up, but as soon as someone makes a spelling mistake, you're on them like a rash.

The promise was along the lines of respect, so I assumed you would agree with my line of "I'll ignore you if you do the same".

Sadly the agreement held up for as long as it took you to join in with your chums and start making cracks at my expense, as is always the case your hypocrisy and lack of self awareness lets you down.

By the way, reminding people of your insult RE: Wetherspoons and aholes was just that, a reminder not an insult, as for the rest of the post, stating you think you're opinions/views are unchallengeable is hardly insulting unless you're VERY sensitive, in which case............bless tongue out

As for Russia investing in online trolling and why?
I have no idea, perhaps you'd like to ask them, let me know what Putin tells you, there's a good chap.

Please note I haven't said it's not happening, I'd question the effectiveness of such trolling and just how much, if at all it impacted on people's decision making.

No answer then. I can only infer you have no problem with foreign state intervention because the divisions they're sowing echo your own myopic views. Party before country etc.

Missed the point.

The point is a foreign government covertly interfering with the domestic politics of another state. It's something the Russians and the Americans have done in the past with various third world countries scattered around the globe. I cna't recall anything on a level with with what's now being alleged Russis did in relation to the US election, or Brexit.

Not true.

The changes are manifold. The scale is huge & has taken the west by surprise. The method of delivery is directly into people's devices. It's interactive & moreover truly deceitful by purporting to be natives of the countries they're actually undermining.

Would strongly suggest you google @DavidJo52951945 if you have even the slightest curiosity about the reach of these operations.
