Prince Harry's new squeeze...
Discussion
Archie?! Noooooooooooooooooooooo.
Please tell me the media have got it all wrong and Harry has got a new dog. Archibald maybe, but Archie ??. How naff. I'll bet The Queen's really chuffed.
Can imagine Philip's comments when he found out. I'll bet it's his wife's decision. She seems determined to change things (which isn't bad). But this is just taking the p*ss. Could have been worse, I suppose. She's American so he could have been called Trump. And considering Harry's German roots it could have been Adolf. At the end of the day though, I wish them well and who gives a f**k.

How's the name Archie chav?
Because it's not a proper name insofar as it has no meaning. It's a pet name, a shortened form of Archibald. Archibald does have meaning - from the Germanic for 'precious' and 'bold' according to Wikipedia - but Archie by itself is nothing.Same for Harrison. Okay, I understand that the kid is 'Harry's son', but it's a name that traditionally has been a surname. The fact that someone - probably an American - decided to randomly use it as a Christian name doesn't make it especially classy.

WTAF x 1m?I'm normally one to shout down anyone who desperately tries to find a racist angle to an innocent word or action, but isn't that right up there with monkey chants at football matches?
