WTAF x 1m?I'm normally one to shout down anyone who desperately tries to find a racist angle to an innocent word or action, but isn't that right up there with monkey chants at football matches?

I had to be prompted to remember Meghan is black. Then I got the issue with the photo.
I thought the issue was animal cruelty to start with (e.g. the old PG tips adverts), and was so confused about the fuss.
I kinda get that - loads of people aren’t interested in them - but Danny Baker is fully aware of her heritage and is fully aware of the connotations of his image. I thought the issue was animal cruelty to start with (e.g. the old PG tips adverts), and was so confused about the fuss.

That’s his career done then.
Thick as st.
I'm not one for being "outraged" at nothing and many of these so called "racist" tweets, adverts etc are not racist at all, however what Danny Baker has done is clearly racist, he's an idiot and rightly needs to be called out on it, how can anyone think that, that being tweeted is even remotely acceptable!!Thick as st.

Same for Harrison. Okay, I understand that the kid is 'Harry's son', but it's a name that traditionally has been a surname. The fact that someone - probably an American - decided to randomly use it as a Christian name doesn't make it especially classy.
Does that extend to the "Mountbatten" part of his name too? Isn't that a surname being used as a Christian middle name?boyse7en said:

I wouldn't have classed him as racist, or so fking stupid as to put that picture up and not click.
I said to her, even if he didn't think it as racist, more like the royals bringing out the performing monkey of a new baby as they always do, but as my Mrs said, Danny is a big football fan, he would know all about the racist connotations of the term Monkey etc, and the fact that Megan is Mixed race.
Lost a lot of respect for the guy, i thought he was a bit more intelligent than that, but it shows again and again, taking a few seconds to put a picture up online, without thinking it through for a second longer leads to the end result he got, Fired from his job for being a complete idiot and committing Twitter suicide.
The mind boggles.
