I've explained this earlier, only to be attacked for making the point.
He is clearly trying to set the ground rules for how the media cover his presidency, where if he sees them misrepresenting the facts, he will take them to task.
That is no me commenting on what the facts are, that's me explaining his mind set.
The Press have done themselves no favours in the last few years, they constantly tell lies or half truths, which has left them exposed to what we see now.
My hope is that real journalism is rejuvenated as a result of this mess.
Except they didn't misrepresent the facts. They presented the facts contrary to the outright lies he published. As Dr Murdoch has said above any deviation from the party line is viewed as a conspiracy. I guess he's learning pretty quickly from Putin how to run an authoritarian regime. He is clearly trying to set the ground rules for how the media cover his presidency, where if he sees them misrepresenting the facts, he will take them to task.

If you have a press that are not honest and everyone has seen that to be the case for decades, it makes it very easy for a dictator to take over the narrative.
The press have got to get their act sorted out.

I am well aware of that, which is why its important to do the job properly to remove the angle that the press lie.

But on this occasion and indeed throughout the election campaign, they did not lie about Trump they merely reported the absurd comments, offensive rhetoric and outright lies he told all along. He took exception to being fact checked which is the sign of a puerile but spoilt brat who doesn't like being challenged. The next rees aren't the bad guys in this, they haven't been at all.If you have a press that are not honest and everyone has seen that to be the case for decades, it makes it very easy for a dictator to take over the narrative.

That's not the issue.
The issue is the Press need to ensure that they don't lie about what he says and does, they cant afford to be bullsters. If they continue to lie, then their power is gone.

For the yanks of PH...
Have there been any comments around Trump being a Commie at all?
If not I am quite suprised, with a wife from a Communist country, esentially part of Russia, and now these ties to Putin and golden showers with russia wes.
It wasn't long ago you couldn't drink a latte in the states without being branded a Commie, so I wold have thought Trump would ave sent the states into a Commie lynch frenzy.
Shouldn't that be "wold of"?Have there been any comments around Trump being a Commie at all?

But seems the Americans have ignored this somewhat. Glad to see the yanks finally realised being st scared of communism was a bit pathetic.

It is the issue. It's precisely the issue as much of his populism is due to inventing lies and fake news stories and quoting them as fact, in this post-truth era (as they called it on his team). Perhaps you could illustrate where the press has lied about what he has said and done? That's not the issue.

The last line is interesting almost directly out of the mouth of Putin.

It's one of the most remarkable things about this whole chapter, how the gung-ho commie-pinko-hatin' good ol' boys have rolled over and let their tummies be tickled by a Putin lover. You could of course simply dismiss it as pathetic if it wasn't so dangerous. If not I am quite suprised, with a wife from a Communist country, esentially part of Russia, and now these ties to Putin and golden showers with russia wes.

A completely inconsequential story borne out of a rumour. Rather like all of Breitbarts entire output. However, with regards to what he's said and done during the campaign and election has simply been reported which he doesn't like.scherzkeks said:
Judging by the amount of frothing here since Friday, it would seem the inauguration truly set the safe-space crowd over the edge.
We are hitting Unrepentant levels of hyperbole.
Even talk of trump being a "dictator" again.
Just sit back and laugh. We are hitting Unrepentant levels of hyperbole.
Even talk of trump being a "dictator" again.
I do find the frothing funny.
Im so glad my life isnt in as much turmoil as theirs.
