Has anyone actually checked the $4 billion is a valid number or has he just plucked it out of the air like the millions of illegal voters?
It's not really plucked out of the air - a bit of google work might help.

But $4 billion seems like a massive amount?
It does until we consider it's not jut one plane, and it's a million miles from a "standard" plane.

Our PM scoots about in a 300 grand car, seems excessive too, but when you consider what it needs to do and add the fact the captive audience/cornered market it's not a huge shocker.

I reckon it'll have a bit of markup on it, but unlikely as bad as the headline tries to paint it.

It's actually one of his more accurate statements

It's not one plane, it's two. The planes themselves only cost $400m each. the rest of it is extra stuff such as IFR-capability.

Good, and I hope he makes it happen.
Appears that it's all a bit of smoke and mirrors

A bit like the Carrier deal which saved just 800 jobs at a cost of $7M to the taxpayer

Again, kindly point out the similarities between Trump and Hitler.

Afterward, we can move on to Russia and it's purported agents. I suspect Jill Stein is no longer on the list, but there are others for which we'll need some evidence.

Thing is, and this is a very uncomfortable truth for Trump / Fargage ites... many of their policies are policies of the left. It's just that they also throw in a nice bit of nationalistic racism as well.
Nationalist Socialists.
Where have I heard that before?
Racism.Where have I heard that before?
No idea fella - it's a rarely used word on a motoring forum and whilst it can be found in the dictionary it's not a great read - lots of words but the story line is a bit a - z
I thought it was quite good.
Especially when I found out the zebra did it.

If you've read the links and you can't see the similarities it's going to be a circular discussion.

For the avoidance of doubt - the article DOESN'T say Trump = Hitler, it points out some similarities.

In other news Trump chosen the First Dog - a Goldendoodle apparently? I've not met the dog but it already sounds more qualified to being president of the USA than the Donald.

I don't see the similarities, but I also never thought Jill Stein was a Russian agent.

What is the point of the article, if the man (and you, of course) isn't trying to tie Trump to Hitler?

You asked for similarities between Hitler and Trump which is exactly what the article does, let me quote as it seems you have not read it

"Adolf Hitler held his hand out too, taking money from the powerful while making promises to the weak. Like Hitler, Trump tells his followers what they want to hear while he does what he wants to do and trusts they’ll be too stupid or besotted to notice.

Trump’s message, like Hitler’s, is emotional, not intellectual. It speaks not to facts, not to the world as it is, but to wishful thinking and the world as they want it to be. Like Kellyanne Conway tells us, griping about Trump’s corruption is just being “negative.”

"Takes money"

"Tells supporters what they want to hear"

"Primarily uses emotion to persuade"

I struggle to think of a politician to whom this criteria could not be applied. So back to square one. Oh but wait, you weren't calling him Hitler.

Forgive a man if he wonders what the point is.

I can see very clear similarities and to me it appears that you are refusing to. I guess that only time will tell who is right.

I really do hope that I am wrong but everyday that passes I see more and more lies and mis-direction and he is not even the President yet - you might want to comment on my posting higher up regarding the Carrier Deal and Softbank and how you see the truth of these.

I was looking into the criteria, this is what time said:-

“the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year.” A lot of news is bad news and a lot of people who make bad news are very powerful people. TIME’s editors aren’t immune to that reality. Famously, they named Hitler in 1938 and Stalin in 1939 and again in 1942. These were men who had a huge impact, not just in those years but over the entire century''

I think you misunderstand me. I did not vote for Trump, nor do I necessarily think he will make a good president.

But I also think the US has entered an end phase of sorts. Our system of government is compromised, and our campaign finance laws assure that there is no fixing the problem.

At best, Trump may allow us to continue on as-is for another 4-8 years without new wars or any further major economic/social breakdown -- but I am not optimistic. Clinton, however, would have accellerated things. There is no solution, and the modern mainstream left has lost its mind and succumbed to pure fantasy.

And.............your point is except that you both want me to read lots of Dilbert postings - is he now the absolute word on everything Trump?

And please if I am so wrong about Trump, please show me where I am wrong on my post about Carrier and Softbank. I feel that I have only posted facts

And finally I don't think I ever said Trump was/is Hitler only proved examples of how their political style is similar.
