Well that's an exceedingly pessimistic view.
I expect us to be able to negotiate deals with friendly nations with relative ease. There will be other deals that take far longer, however, at least no Walloonians to be concerned with.
Oh I wouldn't dismiss them just yet. I expect us to be able to negotiate deals with friendly nations with relative ease. There will be other deals that take far longer, however, at least no Walloonians to be concerned with.
Presumably during this two year transition progress will be made towards a FTA.

Of course.
Based on everything I read, listen to, I expect the drive is towards a relaxing of UK tariff rates.
Based on everything I read, listen to, all the major trading nations want to talk about improving trading relationships.
Do you see things differently?
I have little faith in the Government effecting anything promptly or cost effectively.Based on everything I read, listen to, I expect the drive is towards a relaxing of UK tariff rates.

Talk is easy, actions no so.

This is great. First you call for people to ignore me, then tell me ignoring me isn't how this works. I hitherto didn't believe you could be that stupid, now, thanks to you, I've had my mind changed for the first time by a Brexiteer.
Obviously the sarcasm went right over your head. No surprise there.Keep trying to pretend you are more intelligent though!
More likely, someone having to say that they are "more intelligent" than someone else is a clear sign that they really aren't. Reading what you post I think most reasonable people would conclude that that is the case. You flatter yourself too much.

You're claiming to be "more intelligent"? Even if you believe you are, are you really that insecure that you have to spell it out?

No idea what point you are trying to make - Ed was doing his usual approach and claiming other people were 'stupid', that was the background to my response. Shared History - yes
Shared Challenges - yes
Shared Future - no, we are leaving
I have a shared future with the rest of my family who I love and will support at every opportunity. That doesn't mean we share bank accounts, live in the same house or approve each other's choice of car.Shared Challenges - yes
Shared Future - no, we are leaving
I'm not sure why some people are convinced that this sort of sharing is indivisible.

She wants a unique UK trade deal, cos we are special, like.
This is a historic change between some of the largest trading nations in the world, and you expect her to say what, exactly?"Please punish us because PurpleMoonlight thinks we're not good enough"?
Do you not think that a trade deal specific to our circumstances would be of huge benefit to both sides?
