Most if not all ,It's been a wonderful way to bury good news , Fox is getting a positive response from the worlds biggest economy and all the Quislings can do is seize on a tiny part and make it into a big deal... s that's all
What will they find wrong with a deal with Austrailia or japan ?? dangerous wine , cars that go too fast ????
I really do not get these people. They'd rather Brexit becomes a disaster, no matter how negatively it impacts them, just so they can say "I told you so". Why not do something constructive and get behind your country and your elected representatives and help us all benefit?

HS lines make sense over large distances, but less so in the UK, it is mainly a vanity project, the money would be better spent on rolling stock and infrastructure like signaling so we can run more trains faster on the present lines, the east coast main line could go from 125 to 140 with in cab signaling.
I was speaking to a friend who used to run projects for network rail, HS2 is not about passengers really. The west coast mainline is running over capacity and freight and passenger trains share the lines making things less reliable and slower. Once HS2 is in the existing lines will be used for freight giving much more capacity, HS2 will make passenger journeys faster and more reliable.

A win win situation, albeit expensive.

Not all of them are piss takes ("mybrainhurts" is far better at that than me), but I am about as supportive of Brexit as His Nigeness would have been about remaining if the 52/48 vote had gone the other way wink
It's alright for you spending 30% of your time in the winter sun taking advantage of a "cheaper way of life". How much are chicken & chips in SA?

I see we have the tanned PH company directors out in force today.

Since they know so little about the world I expect most have never left their village.

The Fox visit to the US is pure politics. Trying to get some positive publicity as the government demonstrates again and again it has no idea about Brexit.

Fox had a visit with the Trump administration who of cause said a trade deal would be good. However, the administration can not even get Trump care passed. If the UK starts to negotiate a trade deal with the US it will need the approval of both houses. This will need the support of members of both houses many will be from states where chicken production is big business, so yes it's likely chickens will be on the trade menus.

What exactly is the problem with US chicken? Currently we import loads from Poland/EE.

The EU state that chlorinated treatment isn't harmful at all, yet it's banned in the EU. Seems odd...

So which bit is opinion:
1. Trade agreements with the US need approval from both houses?
2. The members of both houses are relatively independent and votes reflect the economic benefits of their electors?
3. Trump care failed to pass the senate?

It's not hard to find this stuff out.

Great contribution from the person who was unable to remembering calling for a second referendum to reverse the decision and denied ever doing so. I'm not totally sure your judgement stands for much if you have no memory of calling for another referendum, it kinda says you're easily panicked and prone to talking complete crap to fit the situation of that precise minute.

The chicken thing is a rather pathetic claim simply from those who desperately try and find as much negative news as they can, mainly to feed their deluded ideas someone is going to come along and just cancel Brexit and make it go away to comfort you.
Yes, it will be a part of a trade deal, same as it would be in any EU trade deal when we were 28. The difference being this it will be a bespoke deal for the UK and won't have 27 other countries spending years arguing about it. If chlorine chicken is such a big a deal to the UK , then we'll get a worse deal in trying to exclude it in some way.

Brexit is going to cause financial pain for most and for no long term benefit; this just needs time to prove in my opinion. Remainers realise this which is why they didn't vote to Leave.

I suspected that the Leavers would want to share the blame for their major mistake - their Religious-like Faith in the Anti-EU God that Nirvana and Valhalla would be within their grasp, all they had to do was vote for the Great Unknown and make Wishlists concerning Trade Deals they have no guarantee of securing or even delivering as expected - and there are already posts showing up here where Remainers are going to be expected to shoulder some of that simply by not getting 'behind' a dodgy political decision that another Group of voters won.

Winning a vote does not mean the correct decision was made, Not by any means. So why would anyone who strongly believes in another direction turn around on their own convictions and support what they do not believe in????? Mental.

It is only going to get worse as the Brexiteers start to suffer. When it finally kicks in. Sure, Project Fear failed to materialise in the instant day-after approach Brexiteers now scoff at but financial hardship compared to pre-Brexit is coming; early days yet. Then they will blame everyone but themselves; a very cowardly thing to do but many will.

Brexiteers - YOU made your bed, lie in it! Do NOT expect others to agree with your folly! biggrin

I think we really ought to bear in mind that if the EU had been what it was promised to be when it was mooted, if it hadn't left so many millions of its population in such dire straits, if it hadn't elevated its purpose from a means to an end to the end itself, it's highly likely, if not certain, that we wouldn't be leaving.

But we are, most probably.

The events of recent months have left me with little confidence that the self interested politicians both here and in the EU are capable of reaching an agreement that won't be hugely damaging to all 28 countries, even though it would seem to be eminently possible.

Then again, I'm not sure the EU is too concerned about its members' well being, as long as someone can keep funding Brussels.

It's my angry intolerant immigrant stalker friend again. As per usual , its beyond your ability to write anything meaningful about why chicken doesn't mean a deal can take place, or why its a bit silly to promote it as the big deal it has been it the normal Armageddon Remainer type why so typical of ///ajd and yourself.

Jesus, the old 'ageist' troll lynnee is still at it.
Aren't you in Portugal by now, thought you were going on hols?

Anyway, the Remainers who harp on about the economic tragedy coming and have been doing so jumping up and f down ever since the result, telling us tales of woe to come, like the new electric Mini will be built in Germany putting thousands of jobs at risk here.

Ha fking ha.
BMW has just announced the new electric Mini will be built... guess where?
Ho ho ho.
