WOW
Just wow. Gobsmacked. Mrs TD and I were in love but cemented our love to Last Christmas. We remember seeing the video first on the Tuesday night early evening broadcast of the Old Grey Whistle Test (I kid you not)
It totally engrossed us. It was then and for every subsequent year "our" Christmas song.
Knew he had been away for a bit guessed he had issues but ALWAYS hoped he would come back with something new.
Stunned totally stunned at this

Peacefully with no suspicious circumstances.

Headscratch moment.

Sad for him and his family.

Here we go. Outpouring of grief from people who didn't even know him. Old stars appearing on the news saying how sad it is etc.

I'm sorry, but what makes me sad is kids being bombed and killed in places like Aleppo. Kids getting cancer and the like and dying before they even reach their teenage years.

People like GM have had years of life. Made decisions that have probably fked their health up in their later years.

Why is there an outpouring of grief? Because these people sang a few songs.

Things like this don't make me sad in the slightest. The collective grieving is even worse.

Oh well. He'll sell more records now.

The fact he died at home surprised me. I thought a car crash would've been far more likely.

I must I do agree with you. People die every year just this year a few famous ones have gone. Doesn't mean that their going is any more important than anyone else's departure . Just that a lot of people will get upset as their particular icon or whatever has had the temerity to die thus upsetting their fans world.

53 is no age, and I won't comment on his personal life as it's un-befitting.

What I will say is that 2016 has taken yet another massive musical talent from us, and I'm getting annoyed about it now. YOU!!! Mr. Reaper, just F.R.O will you?!?

His best performance

Should've driven a Mini around Barnes Common then.

Can we please please stop banging on about 'this' year though?, as will no doubt soon be posted. Yes there have been some shocking deaths of particularly prominent artists, but there are some every year, there's nothing that much different about this year.

As of September 30th it has been a worse year than usual, and in particular has claimed quite a large number of extremely famous and well loved celebrities.

And a lot of well loved people who weren't famous.
