Yeah well maybe he knows him. We certainly don’t and he does sound very odd with the things he did.

Is it as odd as coming out and saying they were swingers?

I don’t know what you mean? The dad? I haven’t read that. I just remember the stuff about the son was odd, getting so pissed, not with mates, would talk to strangers, walk home in the morning pissed up etc. Just didn’t sound normal.

The whole lot of it was strange. The entire story of his last night sounded anything but what it was portrayed to be in the media.

I did wonder if the narrative was controlled for some reason?

Although for the welfare of the child maybe it's best to treat them as if they were

In a way, it shouldn't matter. He's still the baby's dad. But yeah, if it gives the kid access to even a little more support, a better chance to end up stable and with some kind of prospects, go for it.

I seem to recall during the original reporting of the story that the "lovely lad, everyone liked him, life and soul of the party" type comments jarred with the reporting that he was thrown out of several pubs. It does seem like the narrative was controlled to a degree - perhaps an attempt to garner some sympathy and make the search easier? I suppose people are more likely to come forward with info for a likable lad rather than some out of control, drug-addled mess.

Very much so. Also I'm sure the whole search would have been less thorough if he had worked in Tesco rather than for the RAF.

Sadly it seems whatever scam the binmen were running (causing them to report the collected bins being empty) has prevented them finding conclusive proof of the easiest explanation of what happened.

Pity this didn't happen abroad. The parents might have got an ongoing grant to fund the search by UK Police out there.

Parents say his body is somewhere in the waste disposal system and is essentially irretrievable.

Thus says (apparently sensible) father. Mother (possibly less sensible) does not accept the conclusion and is demanding "answers" from the police, as though what happened was in some way their fault. The police appear to have done not much wrong, and on the contrary spent a vast amount of time and resources searching for the missing bloke.

It's the police's fault his body can't be recovered. It is absolutely crazy they didn't check the refuse centre first. They f****d up badly.

Even though the people who run it and weigh the bins told them he couldn't have been in there?

Maybe they should have thrown some darts at a map and searched all those places too.

According to his dad, his son had a habit of sleeping on and inside bins.....hardly normal behaviour is it?
