At least in last night 'leader's debate' we were told - in no uncertain terms - that climate change is the biggest risk facing our children.

So that's a given - all the main parties agreed, were concerned, and that awful Trump chap should just fall in line.

Shame I feel the need to vote, but which (if any) represents a view I can agree with?
And they all said what I have been saying and you tin hatters vehemently denied (until you learnt).

Renewables and the economics of.
Renewables (wind/solar) are hopelessly ruinously uneconomic, you've convinced anyone otherwise?

You are a risible chap. Talk about double-downing on denial.
You are an angry and incorrect chap, thus your seat in this thread must be extremely uncomfortable.

I don't need to convince anyone, if they hold sufficient intellect to learn, read and understand.
If they do then you're stuffed, which explains a lot to you surely.

Paris and an immeasurable 0.05 deg C even within the IPCC junkscience rules, what a farce.

Trump and the USA would be well out of it if he pulls the plug as advised previously.

It's going to be interesting if Trump withdraws from the Paris agreement yes That'll put the USA in a group of, er, globally, one out of 192. hehe

Nicaragua and Syria aren't signatories but not because they are deniers (and in Nicaragua's case far from it)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/...

This will send the USA into convulsions in the liberal states. They'll be a more divided nation than at any time since (and possibly including) the Civil War.

Last time I looked, 147 Parties to the Convention had ratified (out of 197).

Some may yet do so but either way as of now it's not quite 1 out of 197...

Hopefully more than one has the sense to avoid pointlessly wasting billions of dollars.

A vested interest who's taken the green shilling too surely.

As such, ramping a career as subsidy farmer never looked so blatant.

So much land wasted, so many birds and bats killed, so much cost for so little energy produced.

US Media outlets are all saying its soon to be confirmed, will be interesting to see EU/Chinese reaction.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40127326

4 Options for Trump according to BBC:

1 Give notice of an intent to withdraw. The formal process takes a year and can't start until November 2019

2 Withdraw from the Framework Convention on Climate Change - the 1992 Senate-ratified treaty upon which all subsequent climate agreements have been built. This also requires one year's notice, but it can be triggered immediately

3 Stay in the agreement, but ignore the non-binding greenhouse-gas emission targets and international aid obligations

4 Determine that the Paris Agreement is a treaty that should have been ratified by Congress. Submit it to the Senate, where it will languish. Or don't. Either way, the agreement dies

5 - as it was signed by executive order - write a new order rescinding the previous one idea

Again - rather than hypothesis
Please put some stats to your statements, as I always have.
There are 6030 wind turbines in the UK - 20 turbines covers approx 250 acres so give or take 305 km^2 of land wasted.

In America they have Save the Eagles

Unfortunately the RSPB seems to make a killing from windfarms out of killing......

And the link I previously provided shows we are still taking more energy from our European neighbours than the wind provides.....
