I'm just wondering who has lost all their money?

The only one I can see who has lost much so far is marin spiegel shorting them ruined his 2018.

edit - in fact I believe TSLA was at or under $20 when Elon joined it.

My 2c on Tesla, I got a few shares at around $200 so I'm reasonably happy at the moment. However I went into it fully conscious that it was a risky proposition.

I'm not surprised that they're closing the stores, after the initial excitement they seemed to be pretty empty. The one in Canary Wharf for example was really busy for the first few weeks, but it's mostly empty these days. (excellent free wifi though)

When I purchased my Model S the sales people were excellent but ultimately you have to make the purchase online anyway. Service centres are still needed and they're not going anywhere as far as I can tell.

As for the future, I think that the investment in battery production is a great long-term investment and the vertical integration of Solar -> Static Batteries -> Cars/Trucks -> Transit Services does make sense. Also, the apparently progress with China is pretty special. The challenge will be competitors with deep pockets, however as of yet no-one is close in terms of usable vehicles with a viable charging network.

The next 3 years will be very interesting.

Don’t really care - he’s already done his job of nudging the EV market out of dull but worthy and into cars like the Polestar and i-pace. 400bhp and sixty in under 5 seconds, and pushed EVs one might want to own into the mainstream. It would be a trickle of Leafs, Zoes and e-golfs otherwise.
His actual job was to bring a return to his many investors. He promised them a lot and they’re not all environmentalists.
Maybe they should have listened to what he was saying then?

Anyway, it's not his job as far as I am concerned, because I didn't invest.

Teslas mission statement isnt secret, they are one of the most talked about companies in existence, if you dont know even that basic thing then you shouldn't have been investing.
They didn’t expect to lose all their money
Stock is around 300 and been in a range 250 to 350 the last 2 years which is up 10x from just 6 years ago! In any event whatever you think ''his actual job is'', any investor in TSLA knows Musk ranks making a return for his investors a long way down his list of priorities.

Let’s see how it goes then.

Ultimately the stock price should represent the profits or potential profits of the company.

Sentiment has proped up the price for a while in the face of missed target after missed target. Snippets of good news hear and there are masking the true picture.

Eventually the company will make a profit or it won’t, if they don’t, they will soon run out of cash.

I think Mr Musk is a bit of a double edged sword. I’m all for disrupters shaking the market up a bit but he has also done a lot of damage to the company. He apears to treat the company as his personal play thing which has greatly damaged the company imho.
