Got some really, really bad snow in the South East last night, it was all of three, even four.......millimetres deep, I was even wondering whether I ought to sacrifice my tennis racquets to make up a pair of snow shoes, so that I could battle my way through the storm to the pub, which is all of 30 metres away. Difficult call.
Still, we do have to listen when the BBC tells us it will be dire.

I'm getting confused now...

Which way should I run?
Head North where the weather doesn't really matter.
I AM north, you 'tard...
Welcome to Scotland! Here's your fked old Subaru with snow tyres, your bottle of 'Road-buckfast' and the first months of your honourary SNP membership, because there is only one queen of the north!

I woke up this morning expecting to see white coverage, as forecast yesterday, in my part of the Midlands.....and nothing, nada, not even cold! rolleyes

Weather forecasts are a flaming joke, but I think we have already established that. They are henceforth relegated to the same toilet bowl as media predictions about the economy.

Even live weather radar has been wrong recently - Friday night it showed heavy snow where I live - in actuality not a single flake was seen

Forecast for today early-afternoon = heavy snow, up to 15cm, drifting.

So I persuaded two people to set off early for a cross country, hilly hoon to Manchester Airport.

What did we get in 40 miles?

1cm for half a mile.

I am not popular...

So, only a bit breezier than usual. Any problems look a bit further north.

I heard there's potential for snowflakes.

(But I'm not sure what that means any more)

I'm on my summer holiday in Barrow-in-Furness this week, so am joining the locals in shorts and flip-flops...

Just had to walk from the car to the house. My hair got really damp. It's hell out there right now.

Typically its bin day here so we've got numerous wheelie bins flying about in the street that have emptied themselves all over the place.

Our bin men do that every week.
