Not really. I think it likely came down to what they had available, which was troves of information on HRC, potentially from Seth Rich.

Trump was never a politician beforehand. The Russia Truth conspiracy/Hilter/racist nonsense plays to this as well. I suspect the DNC had virtually nothing to work with.
Jury is still out, more keeps appearing.
More what?

Russia Truth update:

CIA manhunt for internal leaker.

And the corresponding fake news link for the Truther set:

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/cia-fbi-on-manhunt-for...
What's fake about the second link? What's so great about the first link?
First link is the only fruitloop website which shares Scherzy's world view. Consequently, anything that doesn't agree with Zerohedge is, by definition, fake nooz.

The manipulation within the article is most humorous. The piece is about the fact that the leaker is within the CIA structure, yet we have unrelated references and a fat video link taking up central real estate on Wiki being Russian agents.

A ruse for rubes. Like you. smile

You know that Trump has done several 180 degrees policy turns recently, don't you? That is because he realised that whilst bullst, bluster, and stupidity could convince the gullible, they were no match for cold, hard, reality.

As always he'll bull1st this as some kind of victory but the alt-right brigade are beginning to see through him. It's the emperor's new clothes.

The manipulation within the article is most humorous? laugh

Try reading things out loud to yourself in future, before posting them. When you hear how ridiculous you sound, you might think again.

Anyway, as I asked, what is the difference? They're both covering the same story, with the same details. What's the difference? Is it really just that one is 'mainstream' and one isn't?

Not believing something purely because it's 'mainstream' is even more stupid that not believing something only because it's not mainstream.
A second rube steps up to the plate, but offers nothing worthy of comment. The wait continues. Will a third triggered challenger arrive?

The alt-right won't support him if he takes on neocon wars and breaks his promises on domestic econ. issues. Neither will I, but then again, I never voted for him.

I have very much enjoyed his presidency thusfar however. Particularly the triggered SJW set and the crumbling corporate media. If you want to understand more about my views on America, read Dark Ages America by Morris Berman. smile

I do genuinely feel that there is a certain type of person who possesses a "vandalisation of society" view on life. In a way, they are people who revel in seeing things falling apart and bad things happening. It's a form of nihilism. People of that nature are very prone to grabbing hold of all sorts of conspiracy theories - especially ones that fit in with their warped and lunatic views of the world.

The internet, unfortunately, seems ideal at feeding these deluded souls with the nonsense they want to consume.

File it away with fake polls, perhaps.

NYT is renting out a significant chunk of office space to cover bills, and new media are pummeling traditional outlets across social media and online in general -- to the point that shadow banning (see Twitter) and various algorithms (google, facebook) are being used to draw readers away from sites outside the MSM. This, of course, will backfire, as censorship never works and is the last refuge of the desperate.

They'd do better by engaging in truthful reporting, but this would get in the way of agendas.

Possible, as Trump feeds the news cycle, but still unlikely given the state of print media. File it away with fake polls, perhaps.

I'm bowing out of this, since your repeated use of unattributed assertions is beneath any form of reasonable debate. I know from reading the thread that this has been pointed out to you ad nauseum without a single pause for reflection, so fill your boots, but don't expect me to entertain your nonsense.
