Well he did promise to create jobs didn't he?
Does that include the new people being hired every day to clear up his mess when he does or says something he shouldn't?

Fox News' evolving take on the Russia thing is interesting. A month or so ago its broad position was that the whole thing was a baseless witch hunt. But lately a few of its columnists have shifted slightly towards the "there's no law against colluding with Russia during an election so what is there to investigate?" line.

Except for chief cheerleader and arse licker Hannity, of course, who persists with the "it's all made up, Trump is a God and Obama was a disgrace" line.
Hannity will go the way of Billo The Clown in the end, pushed there by the advertisers. MSNBC is cleaning FOX news's clock at the moment and they are scrambling to find an answer. Their message is becoming less relevant to an evolving market. Their scandals are having an impact on other areas of 21st Century Fox too and the sons will eventually get their way and change it.

O'Reilly and Hannity are so bizarre they come across as satire and a complete joke (O'reilly on religion and moon and tides is marvellous to watch), but it took a scandal because oreilly is slime to get rid of him, how can Hannity go without a scandal?

Der Spiegel pulling no punches

Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the United States. He does not possess the requisite intellect and does not understand the significance of the office he holds nor the tasks associated with it. He doesn't read. He doesn't bother to peruse important files and intelligence reports and knows little about the issues that he has identified as his priorities. His decisions are capricious and they are delivered in the form of tyrannical decrees.

He is a man free of morals. As has been demonstrated hundreds of times, he is a liar, a racist and a cheat. I feel ashamed to use these words, as sharp and loud as they are. But if they apply to anyone, they apply to Trump. And one of the media's tasks is to continue telling things as they are: Trump has to be removed from the White House. Quickly. He is a danger to the world.

Trump is a miserable politician. He fired the FBI director simply because he could. James Comey had gotten under his skin with his investigation into Trump's confidants. Comey had also refused to swear loyalty and fealty to Trump and to abandon the investigation. He had to go.

You've done what now?

Given that he doesn't say who "We" is or define any time period over which millions/billions have been saved/created, there's nothing to actually prove that any of that is a definite lie.

Trump wins. Again.

According to Reuters the calls go back to April 2016
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN18N018

And this article suggests that Kushner and Russia may have been negotiating Russian bank financing for Trump’s team in exchange for sanctions relief , sanctions that were hurting Russia.

5 years in the slammer according to legal experts here.

Trump is an incompetent out of his depth fool. Ok, we already knew that before the election. It's become clear that he and other members of his family are also in the pocket of the Kremlin. How long can Ryan and co sit on their hands and just accept it on the grounds of personal expediency? Mueller must subpoena his tax returns and Trump and Kushner company records so that the powers can be can know just how much he owes to Russian banks and the Russian government. Every day he stays in office our national security becomes more compromised.

This seems to me to be the most likely explanation for a Russian connection. It would also help explain why Trump hasn't fully divested himself of his business interests - to keep independent eyes off them.

Russian banks are also notoriously predatory on defaults, and Trump has a big history there. A soft relationship with the Russian govt would go some considerable way to protecting Trump businesses from enforcement after a default.

I've said all along it's all about the money. Prop Trump up to appeal to his ego so he looks like a successful businessman. It'll be his team that have been colluding with the russinas and not telling the Donald about it as they know they can't trust him to keep his mouth shut about anything.

If that had been a UK politician I'd think to think that most British people would have cringed. However that is exactly the kind of behaviour his core support (people like 5ohm) applaud and expect. So, Trump Wins.

I think that's an "F.U" from Macron because of Trump's support for le Pen. There's another clip where Macron is walking towards Trump, Trump has his arms spread to greet him, and Macron swerves to greet Merkel and others instead. It's childish but i think Macron is taking the approach that "If Trump is going to behave like a prat, I'll treat him like a prat".

Trump won't be defeated by logic, commons sense, or facts. The only way to beat him is to embarrass him.

I've seen posts on Facebook from Americans confirming exactly that - one suggested he should have been at the front anyway because he's the most important.

I think Macron took the opportunity to be courteous and greet the lady first. The fact it then put Trump almost last was just a little bonus.
