So, will Trump block Comey from testifying next week, and if he does will Congress let him get away with it?

My guesses are yes and yes.

Lol. All the green fundamentalists doing their nut.

Bit of a storm in a teacup. Trump is obviously going to renegotiate and reenter. He wants a better deal, because the accord is tilted against America. Which is fair enough.
Of course. It's easy to forget what a shrewd and canny operator he is sometimes, what with all the shrewd and canny operating he doesn't tell us about. Bit of a rare gem - smart AND modest.

He can't. Firstly he has already made public references to the conversations he had with Comey therefore executive privilege doesn't apply. Secondly he just couldn't even if he legally could.

Anyone heard these rumors of even more lurid tapes than the "golden showers" ones in the hands of Putin?. All over Twitter. Trump and an underage girl in a Moscow hotel room and it's suggested that Putin has tapes. If that were true, and I can't possibly believe it is, it would explain the extraordinary hold Putin seems to have over him.

Mueller is expanding his inquiry.

Wow. We've not seen the unrep "I don't believe it myself but..." rumour push technique before for a whole week. An under age girl too! I would say a new low, but it probably isn't.

I bet someone from Trump team intentionally pushes these stories around because there is simply nothing in them and they are keeping media away from his real shortcomings.

I'd like to see Putins face when he watches US channels smile

Probably looks something like this.

The way the press is/has behaved is astonishing.

It is well documented that Trump raped his first wife, although legally you can't 'rape your spouse'. Her story is deeply troubling nonetheless. It is not a big stretch to imagine there may be other, even more sordid episodes in his history. The woman who abandoned her rape case against him last year said she did so due to death threats agains her and members of her family. We don't know the truth, of course, it is possible she made the whole thing up. That certainly has happened before in the US and elsewhere.

All has been fairly quiet on this front since he took office, probably because he has created so many other talking points. I do wonder whether in the fullness of time we might hopefully get some truth on the many allegations from his past.

You mean all the ridiculous things Trump has done is astonishing. The stories have to come from somewhere they aren't just literally made up. The list of his gaffs is as long as the complete works of Shakespeare.

Of course you can be convicted of raping your wife.

I believe when the incident occurred it was not illegal, but the law was changed in New York state in 1984.

Welll he has done the only thing that I wanted him in power do do which is to shake up the whole Climate Change circus.

Hopefully his officials will now seek to justify the action and in doing so use will reopen the debate as what is man made climate change, if it exists, and if it does exist, what we can do to mitigate it.

Time for real science rather than fake science.

Cheers,

Pruitt said, at about 18:50 GMT in his White House press conference yesterday, defending Trumps withdrawal from the Paris agreement:
'I indicated that in fact, global warming is occurring, that human activity contributes to it, in some manner'.

So the Trump administration do accept that AGW is a fact.

animal global warming is also a fact, the planet is going to be warmer if there are 100 billion cows than if there weren't any

methane and all that

Might as well just forget about trying to do anything at all to mitigate it then.

Am I right in assuming that the next president can just join the Paris agreement again? So worst case the US will be out of it for 8 years?

the problem is overpopulation, 70 billion people will emit 10 times more CO2 than 7 billion, if we somehow cap Earth population at 10 or 20 or 30 billion CO2 emissions just won't matter, if we breed to 300 billion there is no solar or wind tech that is going to save us (mainly from ourselves)
