It may not be a job they want to do. I would hazard a guess that most of the people in the Trump administration are ideologically against the gathering of "government big data".

The truth is that Trump himself has no real "ideology" or indeed, principles. He is driven by very simple minded and simplistic forces i.e.-

to win,
to never apologise or admit error,
to seek aggrandisement
and
to seek self justification.
Not forgetting influenced by others with money.

Oh yes. A hugely insightful and thought provoking comment from a well researched and non-partisan source.

It's not from CNN.

It's an view that's quite common even on NP&E. You will have somebody who is either very right wing or extreme right-wing who will believe themselves to be "centre" or "centre-right". Anybody who doesn't agree with them is, be definition, a "leftie"

For example Bill Gates donates millions to charity. That's anathema to many on PH. They will give you umpteen reasons why charities are corrupt self-serving organisations and why the only one they donate to is Help for Heroes. Therefore Bill Gates is a "leftie".

It is interesting looking across the various news orgs, they all spin it. Some of the usual suspects that get a mention (not on here for a while but elsewhere on PH), they seem to rely on CNN or they would not exist. They just comment. One I think is just Russia Today in disguise. Brietbart and gateway pundit, wow, right wing and very much so. Fox just seem to be hanging on the T mans tails until a better host comes along for them to hang onto.

Then there are dribbling loon web sites, Infowars etc. Apart from the loons, you can usually get the nugget of info. Labelling "fake news" and "MSM" is just the gullible falling into Donald speak.

It's his tweets that will bring him down.

He is so incapable of restraint that it is bound to happen.

I just can't decide : is he in total Twitter meltdown or just trying to divert attention from more important stuff ?

It's hard to tell.

He could be being clever and is attempting to use diversionary tactics.

Or he might just have lost his mind.

The latest from the orange buffoon taken from the daily wail online re his spaced out speech.

But what really caused Aldrin to glance over at the president was what Trump said next.

'At some point in the future, we're going to look back and say, 'How did we do it without space?'' Trump said causing Aldrin's eyebrows to shoot up.

Trump's question made it seem like he was referring to 'space' as was one of the scientists on the team.

As Trump prepared to sign the executive order, he turned to Aldrin and asked: 'There's a lot of room out there, right?'

'To infinity, and beyond,' Aldrin quipped as others laughed.

But it seemed like the joke referencing Buzz Lightyear's catchphrase in Toy Story soared right over the president's head.

'This is infinity here. It could be infinity,' Trump answered in a rambling response.

He was referring to the unused space in his brain.

This guy is even more disturbed than I could ever have imagined.
He retweeted his latest outrageous CNN bashing tweet on the official POTUS twitter account.

Indeed he's playing - as you expect an immature teenage might .

I'd prefer to have an adult as US President rather than "Kevin the Teenager".
