BUT WHAT ABOUT HIS EMAILS?

Especially as we now learn that your glorious leader dictated Trump jr's response that the meeting with the russians was only about adoption, when we now know it wasn't. So the lies go all the way to the top

Went against his advisors, he knew best...
As some have said, his team are now directly in line for investigation by Mueller, which might be why the leaks are continuing

"If Trump's staff is already leaking this much about him directing people to lie, just wait until they're under oath before the grand jury."

"As we described couple was ago, every one on AF1 involved now likely exposed to Mueller probe - no exec privilege"

What has this to do with Mr tango?
Nothing at all, par for the course from Mr GrimNasty really.

“I haven’t seen Trump lose any bit of support on the ground here. I hear people say he’s not presidential but it looks like he is beginning to redefine what it means to be presidential. He’s not going to take it lying down but he’s going stand up for himself and give it back.”

He added: “We believe, just as President Clinton said, it’s all about the economy. That’s what people care about most, not Russia or climate change, but things that affect them personally like putting food on the table. If Trump focuses on that, he’ll win again in 2020.

You seem to have fallen for the propaganda too.

Nothing Trump has done has had any significant effect on the economy so far.

In the meantime, Trump is continuing on his downward spiral of nepotistic mismanagement. Soon, all that will be left in the White House will be his inner clan (and Bannon). I reckon Kelly will leave before too long too.

You think? The seeds may have been sown by Obama, and have been watered by the expectation that Trump will do "something" (massively lower corporate tax to start with), but the economy is ticking along. Whether a destabilising effect from his completely dysfunctional administration will undermine this remains to be seen.

Of course. It's early days. But the lack of control or care at the helm is bound to result in some sort of catastrophe. So far, we have had a string of "internal catastrophes" as the administration blunders along desperately trying to bluff and lie its way out of the numerous issues that afflict it.

The real test will be when something major blows up on the international scene - either of a military or an economic nature.

There pathetic and amateurish efforts so far indicate to me that whatever they have to face, it will be dealt with in a completely shambolic fashion.

Give it a rest Eric. i despise Trump as much as anybody else. I'm just trying to show how he will convince his supporters that he's bigly great

Yes, I know. That's obvious to most people with two brain cells. However that doesn't necessarily include many of his supporters. All he needs to do is keep tweeting about the stock market, and jobs, and fake news. If any of his supporters were inclined to think rationally the first question they'd be asking is how did 42% unemployment (as he suggested before the election) suddenly turn into 4%....

And he will simply spin that into a "Positive". It will be some bu11 about being a hard taskmaster, about demanding the best for the US people, about not putting up with failure, about getting things done, about Making America Great Again. It will be trite, meaningless, and probably untrue. But that's exactly what has managed to get him elected.

For a guy who professes to despise Trump, you seem to be convinced that he won't be unseated - either by democratic or some other means.

I'm not as pessimistic as you. I think the organs of state are quite powerful - but relatively slow moving. Trumps' behaviour so far is demonstrative of a meglomaniacal tendency that is bound to undo him eventually.

I still think he will be gone before the next election.

And please don't tell me to "give it a rest". This is a discussion forum and we are allowed discuss. By all means disagree with me - but don't tell me to shut up.

You're probably not far from the truth. He really has no grasp on anything other than his ego and the acolytes who support him and his fantasies.
When he got elected I thought well maybe hoped would be a truer appraisal that we'd see a new mature worldly wise individual. Well I got that spectacularly wrong. rofl

I think (and so do many others I have spoken to) that he is a total clown AND he wont be unseated. I stand by my thoughts of him making at least end of first term.

In his supporters eyes anything good that happens is down to him, and anything bad is down to someone else. Simple simple simple.

The crux is the number of supporters he has. He barely had enough to get elected.

And he is doing enough lunatic stuff that something may very well happen to him before we ever get near to the next election.

Good article and mirrors my thoughts. Absurd as the whole show is to any normal viewers outside the US, I don't think his core voters care that much.
