45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Vol 2

For a guy who professes to despise Trump, you seem to be convinced that he won't be unseated - either by democratic or some other means.
I thought my loathing of the Orange One was clear. However just because I loath him, doesn’t mean he’ll be unseated/dismissed/assassinatedEric Mc said:
I'm not as pessimistic as you. I think the organs of state are quite powerful - but relatively slow moving. Trumps' behaviour so far is demonstrative of a meglomaniacal tendency that is bound to undo him eventually.
Forget the organs of State. He’s beaten them all once. He’s still “winning” (by his definition of winning) The GOP control both houses. More than that, there is a titanium core of support for Trump, steeped in hate, that has nowhere else to turn to. There is nothing he can do that will put them off. And they won’t be happy with any GOP member who goes against himEric Mc said:
I still think he will be gone before the next election.
Lots of people assumed he wouldn’t actually get elected in the first place. Fundamentally nothing has changed. I’ll be surprised if he goes before the next election. The only reason I can imagine him stepping down is if his ego starts to hurt.Eric Mc said:
And please don't tell me to "give it a rest". This is a discussion forum and we are allowed discuss. By all means disagree with me - but don't tell me to shut up.
You keep implying that I’m a Trump supporter. It gets tedious after a while.Edited by Eric Mc on Tuesday 1st August 13:41
Sorry if you find it boring. I guess you might just have to put up with it.
I'll continue to comment on what I see whether you find it tedious or not, even if you think I'm wrong.
And at least you can conceive of at least one circumstance where he might not last the full term. I can see that one as a possibility too - but there are lots more. They're stacking up.

NP&E is funny that way. Binary logic everywhere, if you are not praying at the alt-rightard church, you must be 'leftie'. I don't think it's tedious though. Along with numerous Walters, its rather adorable. Eric Mc said:

You do this all the time. You're not alone - it was the same fixation that JK Rowling had to apologise for. I'll continue to comment on what I see whether you find it tedious or not, even if you think I'm wrong.

I wonder why anyone in their right mind - let alone a retired general - would want to involve themselves with this car crash.
Perhaps it is because they found the two party state who both ignored the "normal Joe" in need of change? Like it or not there are a lot of Americans who are not happy with things that have happened under other presidents. America is still a conservative country in many ways and big city rules are not always liked by those outside of them. So abortion, transgender issues,, etc are important to a lot of people and they do not like being told they should just accept things changing. And that is not a race issue it cuts across many in the US. It was also why some states were not ready for a female president no matter how bad the alternative was.
The big thing is that they haven't learnt a lesson, the more the press attack him, the more convinced many are that he is right and that others want him to fail and fail so badly that the American people would accept anyone else.
The media present Trump supporters as redneck inbreds who knew no better instead of understanding why he got support in the first place. Reminds me of Corbyn, so clearly deluded and out of his depth and yet he got such support that he nearly won and no matter what st he says others still blame everyone else for what he says.
