Reading this flying a kite about suggestions to invite the United States to become an associate member of the Commonwealth, hehe and remembering the thing the Americans tend to remember about their own independence movement, namely the Boston Tea Party, should we have a similar event when we tell Brussels to go swivel.

Suggestions.

In the interest of inclusivity, suggestions of both a positive and negative nature towards Brexit are welcome.

This of course is not a serious thread, just for the giggles.

Perhaps we should park a big red bus somewhere?

They really need to come back into the Empire Commonwealth. They've really let things slip since we allowed them to leave.

I think it's a brilliant idea, we don't have enough protests in this country, such a notion will lead to more.

It will also give Bercow more to crow about, which one would hope would bring his career the reward it duly deserves, an end.

I'd certainly look forward to the remake of Mary Poppins. They'd have a much better chance of getting the accents right.

"Cor blimey, throw another shrimp on the barbie Mary Poppins." Luvaduck. Or something. I may be confused. Which one is America again?

All jokes aside, the commonwealth and anglospheric nations may find they rely on each other more closely in the future of an increasingly multi-polar world.

We share similar culture, laws, language and history, unlike the EU which seeked to impose a foreign, legal system and artificial culture onto us.

The Uk and US are still the most influential countries on the planet.

Lets hope it stays that way for the foreseeable future.

We'd certainly lose the commonwealth games. We normally do alright in those, but as soon as the Yanks turn up.... they'll clean up.
