I think in spite of them decrying the 'too wee, too poor, too stupid' line at every opportunity their defence position is actually that we are too wee and too insignificant for anyone to want to attack us.

The latest YouGov poll puts the voting intention for the SNP on 41%, the Conservatives on 26%, Labour on 25% and the Lib Dems on 6%. The actual results in 2015 were SNP 50%, Labour 24%, Tory 15% and Lib Dem 7.5%.

I hope they lose a good few seats but I'm just not convinced at the moment - FPTP is a st system, it's an affront to representative democracy

yes

FPTP + a split unionist vote will mean that the SNP will get at least 45-50 Westminster seats for the forceable future. However a share of the vote in the late 30s/low 40s should hopefully kill off their hopes of a second referendum anytime soon.

One would hope, but it probably won't stop the useless bh from trying

They must be getting desperate round our way, we've had 3 leaflets from them in the last 48 hours begging for my vote. Including one addressed to both my wife and I - not sure where they've got the details from as it's not using the same full name as the voting cards (and other electoral material) has. I'm expecting to see another delivery today when I get in.

Still ended up in the recycling with the rest of their ste.

going by the SeatExplorer site posted earlier, they're in for a pasting here... http://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/cgi-bin/seatdet...byebye

I'm just along the road in Aberdeen South, hopefully they get a beating here too. That predictor has it at a much more narrow chance of Tory victory than your area however (45% Tory versus 43% SNP)

Not particularly a fan of the Tories at all but they have the best chance of hoying the SNP out so I'll have to hold my nose and go for it

A new low? That's only an unexpected turn of events if your view of politics is SNP versus Yoons.

If they lose even 1 seat to the torues, I would call that a victory, I'm not building my hopes though as this has to be the worst tory campaign in living memory.

Wishart, Nicolson and that smug, sanctimonious tt Robertson losing their seats would be jolly good.

I would love to see the SNP lose a decent amount of seats, however I think the unionist vote will be split between Cons, Lab, Greens, and the Libdems. The revival of the Lab vote in the past few weeks will offset the increase in the Tory vote and let the SNP back in.

I think the results will be something like

SNP - 50
Cons - 5 or 6
Lab - 2 or 3
Libdems 1 or 2

The new low you should be concerned about is the number of SNP MPs come tomorrow night.

The Libdems look a good bet for ousting Nicolson and the tories seem to have the other two well within their sights. Time to roll the dice.

I'll think they'll comfortably beat their 1970 result of 1

That's very much an old low. The new low is something lower than 56. Or 54. They lost a couple didn't they?
