Then criticise this rather than her hair cut. It's counter-productive.

Yeah, but it's money they don't have, not because of 'Toaree Austerity' but Derek McKay/SNP stupidity. MacKay admitted when questioned that he had never heard of the Laffer Curve.
given his (lack of) education i suspect there are a lot of things highly relevant to the job he hasn't heard of.

Perhaps she should lend dignity to the office she holds then instead of carrying on like a pantomime dame when the situation isn't going her way.

Her appearance suits her politics.

Absolutely stuck in a timewarp and outadated with underlying 'cooncil' bitterness.

The Scottish Government underspent its budget by almost half a billion pounds in 2017/18, Finance Secretary Derek Mackay told Holyrood today.

So. Councils facing massive deficits in funding, NHS Tayside all but bankrupt, and public services going to the wall.

FOR WHAT. Sheer incompetence .....OR.....

..Scottish Conservative shadow finance secretary Murdo Fraser claimed the Finance Secretary was having to set money aside to pay for future shortfalls in the tax take. Mr Fraser said: “Derek Mackay might like to fool us all into thinking this £453 million underspend figure is an insignificant sum. “But it’s worth noting that it’s higher than what the SNP’s independence blueprint said it would cost to create a separate state. The finance secretary is having to put money aside to meet a projected shortfall in tax revenues due to Scottish economic underperformance. “If the SNP could grow the Scottish economy at least at the same rate as the rest of the UK, there would be hundreds of millions more to spend on public services and reduce the tax burden on hardworking people and businesses.” New forecasts published by the Scottish Fiscal Commission last month anticipated Scotland’s overall revenue from devolved taxation will be just over £1.7 billion lower for 2018/19 to 2022/23 than was forecast in February. But Mr Mackay said income from devolved taxes had increased for the second year running.

Just for clarity, scotland has a massive deficit due to over spending, just because they budget to over spend, doesn.t make it an under spend as they have still spent 10% more than they had to spend.

Finally...

Health Secretary and life-long pal of Nicola Sturgeon Shona Robison resigns from her post.

I see the brainless clotheshorse Angela Constance ('can we do that again', 'no it's live') has fallen on her sword too.

Just need diddy Derek to take a hike and the average IQ of Sturgeon's cabinet will double.

I saw that last night, but was so thoroughly underwhelmed and disinterested in the diddies that inhabit the diddy of all parliaments I couldn't even be bothered to post.

Rest of world + dog seems to agree with you. The news didn't even make the headline in the Scottish section of the Politics section of the News section of the BBC website (that's four levels down). With all the bluff and bluster of the SNP and the Turd-yin in the last few years it really is a case of not bothering to take notice anymore as there's been too many false dawns, too many times they talked the talk but failed to walk the walk.

I think in fairness it was a top story last night, but things move fast and let's be honest, it's not really news anyone is interested in anyway.

Some no marks get pushed and some other no marks get a new job. Who gives a fk? hehe

Ignoring the puerile digs against "oor nicola" and being wary of having another post deleted and the threat of a short term ban for the use of a well know phrase about brass necks, interesting data from the SSAS

Hmm...

Statistically half the public are of lower than average intelligence. Sturgeon's been rattling off pretty much that exact phrase ad nauseum for years. Put the two together and you get that pointless [sorry, interesting!] stat above.

"Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests""Standing up for Scotland" "Scotland's best interests"

Someone turn her the fk off.

Interesting data from 2015? How has that any relevance to 2018?

That's the second time in in the space of a few posts that you've dredged up something allegedly positive about SNP governance from years ago that has since been superseded by events.

For example, here's something from yesterday....

John Swinney shelves flagship education bill.

The significance of the above as a testament to the SNP's impotence as a government cannot be underestimated. The Bill would have received support from the Scottish Conservatives and would have passed, but Swinney put the wavering support for the SNP from the left above doing what they thought was correct. Party over government - the very thing the SNats accuse Theresa May of daily regarding Brexit.

Instead they caved to self-interest, so now the money-sups that are the GTCS and the education departments of local councils (the ones that pay their directors a greater salary than their equivalents in Birmingham and Manchester despite having less than a tenth of the responsibility) can carry on business as usual.

Swinney bottled it. End of.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter. It's a non event (literally). John Swinney is a no mark. A nobody who even as leader struggled to be heard.

As long as we have the 'personality' of you know who front and centre all these nobody's and whatever they're doing is secondary to the point of indifference. Nobody can do any wrong as long as the sainted Nicola is at the helm. It's a diabolical one man show.

It's almost the reverse of May. She's probably actually doing better than expected, in spite of her media profile. Sturgeon is all about the grandstanding while what goes on in the background is a waste of time.

Oh how I wish a nice juicy scandal would take her down. Sadly I think she's too much a party machine for her to ever have done anything even remotely scandal worthy.

Anyone want to watch a topical news show made in Scotland on a £10 budget, with a ginger and a camp black guy [them boxes don't tick themselves] debating 'the issues' with about 20 millennials in a decrepit old swimming pool?

Of course you do, this is the future of Scotland.

'Create the broadcasting Scotland deserves'.

I think Scotland deserves a lot better than that.
