This isn't a bond default issue (and heaven knows the market tends to forget about those quite rapidly).

No-one would blame us.

Anyway, they are still proposing to settle the legal liabilities...it is the discretionary ones, particularly the fees for the extra two years, that wouldn't be paid.

No. All treaties between the UK and EU would be void. Not that no deal at all is remotely possible.
